So apparently some new footage leaked yesterday. Hackers claim they are upset about the "no disc" issue and the fact that some stuff is only being offered with the $100 delux edition.

Who knows, bunch of nerds getting upset and hacking Rockstar... but the leaks were legit because Rockstar wasted no time having peoples Redit, youtube, etc. accounts wiped and banned for showing the hacked content.

I'm just upset with myself for clicking on recent GTA videos because now my YT feed is full of GTA stuff.

Saw some of the leaked footage from the other day (and more leaks were posted yesterday). I have some thoughts:

1. The lighting is really good. One scene showed an 18 wheeler at night and how the brake lights from the truck lit up the underside of the trailer was really impressive.

2. The combat is uncomfortably realistic. Scene I saw had Jason knifing a cop to steal his bike and then knifing some men & women. It's brutal.

3. Speaking of brutal, yes, this game looks & feels like Red Dead 2 put into the modern world. At first glance, the gameplay is not the campy dark humor of previous GTA games. Like RD, the realistic look of the game brings a different tone.

4. Despite what I said above, the leaked cut scene was very much GTA. They still have a knack for knowing how to lighten the mood and make you chuckle without being cringy.

Apparently there is a leaked version circling about for download (i.e. probably chock full of malware), but Rockstar is going to have its hands full.

yeah im just now hearing about this....apparently if demands are not met they'll release the full copy of the game they have....

not sure how things will go down but there's the potential for billions of dollars to be lost here by rockstar...this is nuts....

All the GTA talk and I decided to download V on the PS5 Pro (free via PS+). I'm playing it on fidelity with all the ray tracing and 30 fps because, yeah, VI is gonna be 30 fps.

I've probably played through this game 2 or 3 times already , but man it's still so good. At my age (late 40s) I don't really get overly hyped for upcoming games and movies anymore... But I'm pretty excited for GTA VI.

Same here. I'm in my late 30s, but my boys play all the time. I got really bored this summer when not at work with nothing good on TV and it being so hot outside, I started playing again for the first time in years really.

Got a PS5 Pro last weekend and have been enjoying all the 'free' games on PS Premium.

Really looking forward to this and Wolverine, but of course all the games I want to play come out in the middle of football season.

I have gotten pulled into so many GTA VI videos now that my YT algorithm keeps feeding them to me. I find the "drama" behind the leaks interesting. A lot of guys talking about doom and gloom for Rockstar (probably because it's clickbait).

I don't see it that way. The leaks are low quality videos with bad color, and yet, the game still looks flipping awesome.

If Rockstar shows some pure gameplay on their Netflix special, I think most people are going to be blown away. It looks like Rockstar is once again raising the bar and look to be a generation ahead of the competition.

Yes it does and I agree with all of that!

On the graphics front it's very impressive even in low quality videos. I hate 30 FPS in modern games, but I think I'm gonna have to give them a pass based on what I'm seeing. Will see if they have any performance toggles... I'm holding out hope that PS5 Pro can maybe get a 40 FPS options.

Interesting that some of the leaks have shown some interesting info they still haven't officially discussed, even with this 25 minute video.

One thing in particular, it showns Jason in a game store where he can buy ear buds and/or headphones in the same way you would a new shirt in GTA V. All but confirms we will be able to listen to the iconic GTA radio while on foot.

Also would need the earbuds for driving around in that e30 3-Series convertible, stock radio not powerful enough for the wind noise

YouTube version doesn't drop for a few more hours. Netflix only right now. But there are lots of videos already with guys commenting on the stream.

can't believe someone said they were going to wait this one out to see how it is. this is a day one buy for me. all gta games have been great in my opinion.

I just wish they would release these closer to Memorial Day. Summer time is so boring for me outside of work, and I live for college football in the fall. Re-playing games over and over is getting old. Although, some of the remasteres have been great.

You should do what I do....get out of touch with culture and the discover badass games many years after the fact. I never replay games; no reason to with all the games I've never played.

I've actually been playing a lot of cheap indy games on Steamdeck. Been having fun with Brotato. It's such a simple mind numbing game after a long day. Best $2 I've spent in a while.

I'm fully engaged into the reaction videos right now... very rare to see something so universally praised. People are floored.

Can't say I disagree. I feel like I'm too old to geek out on video games, but I just might with this one. I'm with everyone else, I can't believe it looks this good.

Looks really good. Hope it looks this good on console when it comes out. I'm always a little wary of tailored showcases like this.

One thing I didn't like is how archaic the tool wheel looks. That and the dude MCs voice is just strange

This was base PS5 footage as noted at the end of the trailer. They haven't announced a PC version yet.

No reason to suspect it's not legit... RD2 looked too good to be true in PS4 trailers. It's reported GTA6 cost $2 billion to make. Looking at that video, I tend to believe it.
