Thanks. Sounds amazing.

Yeah, it really does. I don't want to overhype it for myself or anybody else because who knows... but the people that really dedicate their time to covering the game are all on the hype train.

I'm just glad that I haven't been following this game for years. I watched a random video around July and that kicked off my YT feed slowly being taken over with GTA video suggestions.

Usually I'm busy watching A&M/Cowboys/football stuff in the fall... NOPE... this year I'm pretty sure that GTA videos are my main watch/listen.

Sad when focusing on Grand Theft Auto is healthier than bold.

Not to derail the thread, back in the Fran and sherman eras, I decided that every year. I would randomly pick another school to cheer for just for fun.

Even if their season was horrible, I would watch their games and cheer them on. Only exception to picking a random team, sips and okie were out of line up.

This year it happens to be Bosie St. It's just a fun way to enjoy college football, especially when the team you love is taking a dump on the season.

As far as GTA VI goes, the amount of hours the developers have spent on the NPC has been insane. Every possible detail has gone into the NPCs. Rummor has it, stealing a car will be more difficult, with NPCs fighting back and possibly shooting you. The police are going to be more realistic, harder to get away from. Walking into stores to rob are going to be a challenge.

I bought EA NCAA 2027 just the other day, the realism in that game is astonishing. Its raining in the middle of the game, then the rain stops, yet the players as they run or walking on the field, their feet are showing signs of walking on a wet field. When it snows the snow sticks to the uniforms. The fans are more realistic, the coaches and players look more life like.

I can't imagine what Rockstar has cooked up with the hours they poured in. 30 days away, from possibly playing the game of the century.

My demon woke up this morning telling me he was tired. I handed him a red bull and said "come on little buddy, we've got chaos to spread".

The only potential downfall of this hyper realism is...it won't be fun. There has always been an "arcade" element to this series that just lets you unwind and have mayhem fun. If this essentially becomes the most realistic Sims game ever, then it definitely has the potential to just be a tedious endeavor.

I hated the Sims games because of this so just hoping there is still some bias of getting away with stuff left in the game.

GTA 6 will be much more Red Dead 2 in terms of gameplay than GTA 5.

I've had the same thoughts. The only conclussion that I came to was that if you want mindless mayhem, they already made those games. If they had stuck to the same formula but with the best possible modern graphics, I think we all would have been disappointed after waiting for so long.

I think the crazy fun will still be there, it's just going to be a much deeper and different way of messing with the world and the NPCs.

I just hope they optimized it so that we don't spend too much time working out, feeding, and resting your main characters.

I've heard some really cool things regarding police chases.

In the old games it was definitely more of a get away from the red circle / wait out the timer and the cops will stop and go home. The sorta not fun part about that was that they would zero in on your location, even if you had a great hiding spot.

In the new game it's described as more difficult, but also much more realistic which I think is where the fun comes in. They say that sometimes it's best to ditch your vehicle and hit the alleys, jump fences... break line of site. The cops won't automatically know where you are. You can lay low, stay hidden, find a new car to steal, find a change of cloths, etc. They won't stop looking, but you can out smart them and eventually get away.

PS: I've also heard that this is where the NPCs and world sim comes in... the cops may not see you, but sometimes NPCs in the area will. They can rat you out, start filming and put you on social media, etc. Crazy stuff.

I was thinking the same thing, and I feel like they may have to walk back some of the "difficulty" in a patch down the road. They cited wanting to get rid of that god mode feel that previous games had, but I feel like that's part of what makes them so fun.

The main thing I always wanted was smarter police NPCs. I never found myself wishing civilians made it harder to mess with them.

Thats what I hate about the cops in GTA IV and V. They seem lazy and kind of an after thought.

You are right about NPCs filming or at least in the trailer it showed NPCs filming. It would be awesome if your chilling in the house/aprtment and pull up socal media showing a car chase you were just in.

I do expect a few patches will happen like any new game to work out the bugs. Just as long its a not another cyberpunk situation.

I've been playing GTA V lately because honestly I never got too far into the story. I've been doing missions and also just messing around the city causing chaos.

It amazes me the detail they have in the game with the NPC's already. There was a guy playing guitar for a small crowd of people on the dock/pier. I hit him with a golf club and some lady pulled her phone out and appeared to be recording me. Thought that was pretty funny and accurate.

I can only imagine what GTA 6 is going to be like.

Yep. I'm thinking the cops & robbers aspect is going to be a big hook for this game. Bringing some chaotic evil into the world will still be fun, but the resulting "you'll never catch me coppers" gameplay will be the bigger payoff.

Regarding NPCs and social media, they have confirmed that you will be able to catch a live stream happening and you can drive to the location to check out whatever is going down.

What they haven't said is if you will be able to watch uploaded clips of stuff that people captured you doing. Pretty positive that this will happen for scripted missions... but if this is part of the game and NPCs are capturing you during real time / random gameplay.... well that would be crazy

Same. I think I saw that TGG guy say your character had to work out 2-3x per week to maintain fitness and that your car does run out of gas and you have to refuel. Having to do things through apps on an in-game phone. Little things like that can get old relatively fast.

Forget who but there was a Florida college football team sporting Vice City jerseys a week or two ago. Or maybe it was a soccer team. I can't recall which.

I was looking at the pre-order Ultimate Edition last night and it seems like it actually comes with a ton of content. I've never pre-ordered a game before and not sure I'm going to this time, but it does seems like an inordinate amount of extra content compared to other packages I've looked at in the past.

Yes sir, I'm there with you. It's the one part of the game that I have the most doubts about. I'm not really a fan of things like "going to the gym" in GTA.

It sounds like this could be one perk of being in a relationship... you can "go together" to do all these tasks. Kill 2 birds with one stone.

If I have to do everything in game that I do in real life, then I'm not going to excited about playing this. Shirley, there will be settings to back off some of this stuff.

I would prefer they provide us the ability to turn on or off many of these functions. Similar to many other RPGs where Survival Mode makes you sleep, drink, eat, etc, but you can turn that off if you just want to sit back and enjoy a game. I can't imagine them not doing that. I don't think the casual gamer wants to worry about all that mess.

Fortunately, I probably won't be playing until the PC release, so they have a few months to iron out some details and push out some changes.

I have to think this will be optional. I doubt there are many people who want to their online life to be as tedious and mind numbing as their real life.

It's going to be maddening if I'm about to escape from the cops but Jason suddenly has to take pull over and take a **** because he ate two double meat burgers from Burger Blast. At least give me the option to **** my pants and keep going!!
