I'm thinking about pre-ordering soon, mostly because these guys who have been with Rockstar since 1996/2005 are now the co-studio heads. Hopefully they kept the development team in check to make GTA VI as great as its predecessors.

When we plugged my first gaming system (Magnavox Odyssey2) into the console TV we had when I was a kid, it was 30 fps (~29.97) and worked out fine. Just about every console videogame I played since then was 30 fps and worked fine. Somehow I think I will be able to live with GTA VI playing at 30 fps. The graphics are slightly better than the Odyssey2

Hell, I'll play at 30fps if I HAVE to, see Bloodborne (top 3 game of all time for me), but I don't want to if I don't have to.

There have been several games that gave a better option for PS5 Pro, which is what I'm hoping for. I believe Hogwarts Legacy had an option for PS5 Pro that gave high fidelity at around 60fps, or at least 45fps.

The benefit of a game being locked at 30fps is that there is no jarring feeling of going back and forth. That's what becomes unplayable. If it's locked, it does give your eyes and brain time to adjust and forget about it after a while.

What version are you getting? I heard somebody say that over 90% of the pre-orders were for the $100 version. Which makes sense I suppose... most people that are excited enough to pre-order want the full experience.

Even though I'm pushing 50, my dad still gives me $100 for my birthday every year... Pretty sure I'll be using that to pre-order pretty soon also!

Because in the storyline of GTA 6, as the male character, you do chores around the house, go on dates and basically act as a regular couple with Lucia. This has many wives and girlfriends all twisted up and they are making their voices heard on social media, about how my man will never play GTA 6.

Gotta be honest, that part does have me nervous if we are forced to go in there for a mission. I've honestly never visited one of those real world establishments and it would be just my luck for the Mrs. to walk in as soon as I'm in the GTA club. And if the trailers are any indication, those are going to be some VERY realistic strippers.

I think they were trying, but the big studios have really been suffering for it. Just looking at their failures and massive layoffs. Rejection of "woke" by the various gaming communities have been massive.

I don't think the standard type of person drawn to this field tends to be as woke as the type of person drawn to the performing arts, like in hollywood. They have to really dig deep to put together teams of blue-haired cat-women and then suffer the failed releases due to it.

Also, female protagonists in games have never been a "woke" thing, as long as they are hot. I believe a massive percentage of male gamers choose female characters when playing games and have historically loved games with female leads (Tomb Raider, Metroid, etc). Hell, I usually always create a female character in RPG's because the fantasy armor on female characters always looks so cool. Also, if i'm going to be staring at a character's ass for 60 or more hours, I'll take a female ass over a male ass.

People on social media and "other forums" need to take a step back and enjoy the fact Rockstar created a new GTA game. They could have easily just done another update or added content to GTA 5 and called it a day.
