I can appreciate the quality and achievement RD2 is/was, however, I found it to be incredibly boring. I would constantly find myself dosing off while playing it. I pushed through and beat the main story, but I've never gone back to it.

I really need to give RD2 another go. I feel like such a beetch but when I first tried to play it years ago, I just could NOT get the controls down in a manner that was fun for me. I'm a mouse and KB player and it was beyond clunky for me. I ****ed with it for about a half hour, playing and messing with settings and then just gave up and never looked back.

I know, I know.

I'm an idiot.

Yeah, I don't understand how people play a game like this with K&M. That would be a miserable experience.

Use a controller and I bet you like it.

I think that's fair... you have to be in the mood to really take in the world to fully appreciate RD2. Some people just don't have the time or the energy for a game like that.

It will be interesting to see how different gamers receive GTA VI. There are millions of GTA fans out there that never played RD2 and will probably be surprised how different VI is compared to V. It's why I said what I did in my last post... Jason & Lucia need to have a lot more pep in their step compared to RD2. If they are as slow and cumbersome as Arthur it's going to turn off a lot of people.

EDIT: I'll add that the worst part of RD2 is how the game only lets you walk once you get into your base camp. It is so freaking slow and frustrating because you visit the camp often.

And on the controls front, I do remember someone saying (I think it was one of the journalists that got a hands on preview at Rockstar) that they are going with a more traditional control scheme for VI.

Gone are the traditional GTA & RD controls (where using the X button to control different speeds) and instead they are using the 'click left stick to sprint' controls. I really hope this also means that walking/intermediate speeds will feel a lot more natural based on how far you move the analoge stick.

I hope it's click left to sprint once and you don't have to hold it down to keep sprinting. That is murder on my joints if I have to hold it down.

Does anyone know if online multiplayer will be releasing at the same time as story mode for GTA VI?

It will not. They have said absolutely nothing about online.

There is speculation that the PC port will come out early 2027 and that could coincide with the online release, but they have not officially said anything other than Nov 19 is the console story mode release.

Latest noise I saw was the PC port is more likely not Q1, but Q4 27
