I don't know what HG plugin is being/will be used, but we do have fixes for kits, workaround for chest item problems and code to prevent people from teleporting in and out during a game. You will run into these issues if you downloaded the free plugin and didn't write your own. We have not added the death match code, that is way down the todo list.

Sorry I wasn't keeping up on this thread about changes to the server. Thanks coppag92 for keeping on top of things for me!

After some frustrating issues, the transition is finally complete and everything looks to be up and running smoothly.

Here's the new info (OP updated as well):

sadly, no. there is zero compatibility between PC/Playstation/Xbox

Can't access the server or even just the map. Will this be back online soon? My 8 year old is driving me crazy making me check it every day. Great work!

TO ANY ONE LOOKING TO HELP SUPPORT THE SERVER: I've been running/maintaining/financing this awesome server almost on my own for a couple of years. I love this sever and would love to continue that role but unfortunately time and finances are in short supply right now. Of all the time I've put in Minecraft over the last five years or so, this is the coolest thing I've been a part of.

Would it be possible to join? Granted I haven't been back to A&M since I graduated in Dec. '12 so as far as additions go I don't have a ton to contribute unless you haven't built Fuego yet in which case I can do that blindfolded (not really but you get it)

We need a host

Is the server not up? I tried getting on(I'm new), but it is not working!

No, server is no longer up.

Unfortunately the server is currently down. To be frank I can no longer afford to run it on my own and don't have the time to keep up with the maintenance of it on my own.

I have backups of the build (though we lost some work on the new Kyle remodel) and will happily restore it to a new server if there were dedicated people to support it both financially and as admins. I was paying about $30 a month to host it, which granted isn't a whole lot, but I'm not in a position to continue paying that on my own. My dream is to have a website dedicated to the server that is self-sufficient through ad income and donations.

If you guys are interested in getting it back up and running, I'm all for it. I just need help.

Wee_ag, if I send you my email, can you send me the backed up maps? If anyone wants to get a group of people set up to pay each month, I am interested.

Any idea about how many people were playing this? Looks like some hosts have 5 user plans for ~$3/month. I don't play Minecraft (or any other games) but seems like a waste of lots of people time over the years to not have it available at all. Ill kick in $50 to help get it back into existence but I have zero time to learn to maintain this. Or if someone want to make a Docker container I could probably throw it on one of my cloud instances, but again someone would have to keep up with it.

I wonder what would happen if someone reached out to the university to see if they might be willing to support this (financially) in exchange for using the final product as a recruiting tool for future students?

I figure they might either really like the idea or... send a cease and desist letter.

Did anyone ever get backups? My daughter was at the game on Saturday, and came home with the redass to build TAMU inside Minecraft.
