Holy balls you guys have gotten far

Decided to give this a bump. I'm looking into building the new stadium soon now that we have a lot of photos on the internet.

The nerd who built the whole Baylor campus. It was actually very impressive.

Heard about that Baylor build last year... that's impressive.

A&M being over 5 times the size of Baylor means we've got a lot more to build to finish up. Though, what we've got done so far is larger than the Baylor campus.

I might have to buy minecraft now....

So are we going to move G. Rollie, Old Kyle, and such to another place to preserve their build or just tear down what is tore down now?

Old buildings will be preserved in some kind of.... preservation. I've downloaded the map before we started renovations, so they are safe.

You could use MC Edit to do it. You can select all the blocks and save the individual schematic and then load them into another world. It works really well.

Shoot, Baylor beat us in MineCraft? Let's get this thing finished!


I am in the process of copying the old buildings. Help would be appreciated. I started out with the South East quadrant on the new build for the stadium.

MC Edit works great for smaller maps, but this one is 3GB. It would take days to download it, move Kyle and reupload the new map. Copying in chunks using The Wand is probably quicker.

But yeah, more help would make it go faster.

Don't know what your paying, but hosthord gives you 6G for $25/month.

Cool that I could use the speed command, but that will really bog down your CPU. Set it to 10 and watch your CPU meter in the console as you fly around. If you do get a bunch of people working, you might want to use creative regions and warps to stop people from flying all over the map (need Worldguard). Flying even after the map has rendered, is a big drain, add speed and it's a bigger problem. I'll have to look at your dynmap and see what I missed. I did visit the warps that listed.

Got the web map and a compass, and had a look around. Awesome! Went to Zachry, Duddley's front porch and Freebirds, just like old times. My kids will be visiting tomorrow. We visited our seats at Kyle and Olsen, but didn't check out Reed. Kind of waiting for a new coach. Just kidding.

Flying is bad, speed multiplies it. Large Worldedits will crash your server, I'm sure you've seen this first hand. Same for big schematic imports. The kids love your server! Need a football and baseball plugin...d8)

Hecubus - thanks for taking a look around and the suggestions. Didn't realize Speed was such a big CPU draw - would that effect the server as well? I'll have to think through changing that, or limiting it.

Server is back up. I updated to 1.7.4, but didn't get all the mods/plug-ins updated so there were some issues. Hopefully we'll be at 1.7.4 (or whatever versions all the plug-ins are updated to) soon.

We should totally put t.u.'s campus in the Nether, because it would be hell for us!

We should do some type of nether monument.....

I know server was being changed as of day or two ago and do not think all has been completed yet. Should be up soon and he is usually good about posting updated IP's and info there. New features were being added as well.

I see you went hosthorde; we're still happy with them after six months. We have had a few service interruptions, but tolerable at the price.

No, I am not admin or anything to do with maintenance etc of server. I am simply builder who posted this when I saw it on official pointsmatter website. Thought others just might want to know.
