Not likely. This team is still very average to bad defensively and played a pretty banged up Redskins squad tonight. They've shown they can lose to really any team. I think they beat the Giants, but the others are all toss ups.

You're more worried about the Giants than the Raiders or Seahawks? The Giants should be an easy win. Until Dak gets his **** together, I don't have faith in Dallas outscoring Derek Carr or Russell Wilson.

They win @ Oakland, then I'll start to believe.

Giants should be a win, oakland will be tough though. Theyre one of those bubble teams that has potential to light it up if they get hot

I guess I picked the Giants because it's in the division and they hate us so much.

Oakland is probably the hardest game left.

Seattle will be at home, Zeke will be back, if we can just get to that point with the 2 game win streak as momentum, I think the team will win out and make the playoffs.

The philly game doesn't worry me because they won't try to win it. That team is blowing people away. They will be the #1 seed.

Disagree. We've seen that blowup playoff runs for teams. Not all coaches will take that rest all starters philosophy. It has broken up rhythm and /or caused rust for good teams heading into the playoffs in the past. I'm not saying Philadelphia won't rest it's starters. I'm just saying it would be silly to assume they will. Lots of games are left yet too. By that point they may want to make sure they bury the Cowboys' playoffs hopes if they still in contention.

Dont have tie breaker with atl or green bay. Would have tie breaker over seattle if we can win that one.

I just found this report and it looks bad. I haven't watched any other teams play this year. I've just been following the cowboys. I knew the eagles were going to win the east, but I thought a wildcard would easily be in reach at 10-6 ( conventional wisdom) anyway......

Long story short: Cowboys have no tie breakers. Cowboys have played a brutal schedule this year. A lot of the teams who have beaten them are vying for same wildcards.

Packers need to lose once ( reasonable)

Lions need to lose twice

Seahawks need to lose once before they play the cowboys

Falcons and / or panthers need to free fall

Eagles need to clinch everything before cowboys game

If you're holding onto hope, root for the saints and rams. Root against the falcons / panthers. Root for the eagles.


I never want to see a team go 10-6 and not make it ( especially my team) so if the cowboys are out of it by the time Zeke's suspension is over, Zeke should probably just shut it down for the year.

It's a lot more likely than that looks.


First Dallas has played 12 while everyone else has played 11 so they have 5 games left to lose 1 or 2 in most cases. And several of them have games against division leaders PHI, LAR, MIN and NO.


Green Bay 5-6 without Rodgers could lose to TB, CLE (no) or @CAR. And still play MIN and and @DET after that. Just need to lose one. Very likely.

Detroit 6-5 needs to lose 2 - @BAL, @TB, CHI, @CIN, GB. this has a decent chance.

Seattle 7-4 needs to lose just one other game other than head to head with DAL. They are PHI, @JAX, LAR, @DAL and ARI. They almost assuredly will lose one.

Then they either need:

a. Atlanta 7-4 to lose 3 - MIN, NO, @TB, @NO, CAR - thats a tough schedule
OR
b. Carolina 8-3 to lose 4 - @NO, MIN, GB, TB, @ATL


Root for MIN, NO, LAR and PHI to all win as much as possible -
and TB to pull some upsets they play GB, DET, ATL and CAR in the last 5.


This week could be a good start, need:
TB over @GB
@BAL over DET
PHI over @SEA
MIN over @ATL
@NO over CAR

Let's see how that goes. A couple of losses in there could go a long way.

Prior to last night, odds of winning out were 0.8%. Even if winning out, odds of making playoffs were 25% due to tie-breakers and everyone above them. Heard all this on the radio up here in Dallas

I'm not convinced that the Cowboys don't have any tie breakers. Right now they don't.

But if those teams lose the games needed to fall back to Dallas, then the Cowboys might have some tie breakers.
