Many people disagree w/ parts of President Trump's actions but have backed his:
-reduction of violent crimes to historic lows
-reduction of people considered poor to historic lows
-elimination of 129 regulations for 1 created
-median income @ historic highs
-real wages increased when including inflation
-historic increase in commitment to build industry in America
-reducing illegal immigration to zero.
-recent drop in the unemployment rates.
-increases in the employment participation rates.
AND THIS IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS AFTER THE MONUMENTALLY DISASTROUS BRAIN DEAD PRESIDENT BIDEN ADMINISTRATION.

To be honest I wish he hadn't banned these propaganda machines from the White House because he had very good responses to the inane nonsensical questions they asked.
Look at the orators in our republics; as long as they are poor, both state and people can only praise their uprightness; but once they are fattened on the public funds, they conceive a hatred for justice, plan intrigues against the people and attack the democracy.

This gets tiresome, I can't believe people are determined to believe he did these things.
-violent crime has been on a downward for years.
-higher median income…yep, inflation has a way of doing that.
-illegal immigration is not "zero".
That is just a few on your list that jumped out at me, but the game is on now.

Bet you're fun at parties. I'll take what we have coming across now versus when Biden lets millions and his whole crew said the border was closed.

Sure would be nice if he could get someone that writes like an adult to tweet for him. The reasons for these bans are solid, but the message would be so much more effective with an articulate writer that could communicate the message in a professional manner.

His childish communication style has done untold damage to the conservative agenda despite making progress from a policy perspective. If we had someone that could effectively articulate the reasons behind these policy positions in a way that wasn't off putting to a large segment of the population, the Democrats wouldn't stand a chance. Instead he keeps throwing the press (Democrats) ammunition to denigrate an entire movement.

I agree with every word of this opinion. Trump hired a WH Chief of Staff and part of her job is to address this type of communication. I will cut her slack for battling cancer and I hope that she will be able to fix these gaffs.

It's the press secrertarys job to focus on communication. Wiles job is to prioritize access to POTUS and set his schedule.

Most of the people wanting decorum in tweets almost certainly SUCK ARSE at getting anything done in life.

I agree.

How can the media be held accountable otherwise? I do what I can - I don't watch MSM or subscribe to their newspapers, and I am certainly not alone in that, yet they continue to exist to spew their opinions as facts.

As a history guy, how long has partisan press existed in this country?

Quote:

DSA has multiple organized caucuses whose members explicitly self-identify as Marxists, Marxist-Leninists, Marxist-Leninist-Maoists, or communists (with Marxism as the theoretical foundation). These are not fringe or external accusations; the statements come from the caucuses' own Points of Unity and related writings, and members of these groups have held seats on DSA's National Political Committee (NPC), its highest governing body between conventions.

Red Star Caucus (Marxist-Leninist)
This is one of the most prominent. Its Points of Unity state:
"Red Star is a Marxist-Leninist caucus in DSA. Our primary goal, the goal which informs all of our organizing work, is to abolish capitalism and, ultimately, to achieve communism. We do not believe that capitalism can be reformed into socialism it must be overthrown and replaced."

Further:
"We are Marxist-Leninists. We understand Marxism as a living, breathing theoretical framework... We see Marxism as the foundational and most informative lens through which to understand the workings of capitalism..." (listing scientific socialism, dialectical and historical materialism, imperialism, a revolutionary horizon, the vanguard, etc.)

In a 2024 article titled "Communists Belong in DSA," Red Star wrote:
"As a Marxist-Leninist DSA caucus, we reject this narrative. DSA is our political home! We in Red Star are communists who believe that DSA is the most effective place to serve the socialist movement... We call on all communists in the United States to join us..."

It also noted that "nearly half of the current NPC members openly identify as communists" (at the time of writing) and that many Red Star members "joined DSA as social democrats, liberals, or anarchists, but became disciplined Marxist-Leninists through our participation in DSA's democratic.

Megan Romer (a Red Star member and DSA national co-chair in recent terms) has been associated with promoting readings by Lenin, Ho Chi Minh, Che Guevara, and others in this context.

Liberation Caucus (Marxist-Leninist-Maoist)
Its Points of Unity open with:
"We Are Marxist-Leninist-Maoists in DSA: ... as Maoists in DSA, we believe that ideological and political struggle can not be shirked and Comrade Mao's call to combat liberalism must be heeded... Therefore, we operate under these principles and call on all revolutionary communists working in DSA to unite with us."

It emphasizes a "revolutionary" theory of change drawn from Marxist-Leninist-Maoist analysis, democratic centralism, and the need for a "party of a new type."

DSA Communist Caucus

Their statement includes:
"Communism is the movement against class society. We want a stateless and classless society... We follow Marx when he wrote 'we call communism the real movement which abolishes the present state."

They frame their politics around ending capitalist exploitation, building working-class power independent of the Democratic Party, and a "communist horizon" beyond reforms.

Marxist Unity Group and related currents

This faction describes itself in Marxist terms and has put forward programs aiming at working-class revolution, a new constitution/republic under working-class power, and ultimately "a fully liberated classless society: communism." Their materials draw on classical Marxist and Bolshevik traditions.

Individual example

David Jenkins (NPC member associated with these currents) has been quoted stating: "Our goal is liberation. Our goal is communism."

DSA as a whole is a big-tent organization that also includes more moderate social-democratic and other tendencies (some of whom explicitly reject Marxism). However, the Marxist/communist-identifying caucuses have been open about their self-identification, have grown in influence on the NPC in recent conventions (especially post-2023/2025), and treat DSA as a vehicle for advancing those politics. Primary sources are the caucuses' own websites and statements rather than secondary characterizations.

Good day sir.

Core Beliefs of Marxism
  • Class Struggle: History is driven by a conflict between social classes.
  • Bourgeoisie vs. Proletariat: Capitalism pits the ruling class (the bourgeoisie, who own the factories and resources) against the working class (the proletariat, who sell their labor).
  • Economic Exploitation: Marxists believe capitalism exploits workers by taking the value of their labor to generate private profit.
  • Revolution and Change: The system will face a worker revolution, leading to a socialist society and eventually a classless, communist order
They may not state that they are a Marxist, but at their core MOST of the DSA members believe the same things.
