Look, Maduro was a trash human and the world is a better place, and we're in a stronger position, with him out of power. so that's a win win. I recognize that and even more think it was a gem of an operation. Buuuut, I can also say that this looks to have stretched the war powers act pretty far.

Apples and Oranges from our perspective, but China doesn't see it that way. It's entirely plausible to think they could take this as a sign of aggression and feel like their hand has now been forced to invade Taiwan just like Putin felt with Ukraine and the NATO situation.
China has already said they were going to invade Taiwan and by 2027 to be exact. So I see this as somewhat logical fallacy since you simply take them at face value and don't let what they've already said dictate what you should and shouldn't do to protect your own country in your own backyard.
Also, the entire western world has a strategic interest in Taiwan and we've already said we would defend them and so has Japan.
Hell, the UK Defense Minister told China they would nuke China if they did it.
Can you please share a link to China proclaiming their military strategies and even timelines to take Taiwan? I don't think they would share that information with the world but maybe I'm wrong.
