Only on F16 would one of the absolute best Senators in the US be roasted for not knowing the precise demographics of Iran. He knows what needs to be done, and unlike Cronyn, has the huevos to openly back it.

Tucker asked questions that would be reasonable to ask a high school senior. That a long standing senator got immediately flustered and couldn't respond is deeply embarrassing and reflects poorly on the senator.

Saw a tweet that said:

Say what you want about Trump, he never would have gotten tripped up like this.

"What's the population of Iran?"

"A lot. A lot, Tucker. There's a hell of a lot of people over there and they're very dangerous."

Nails.

I personally am shocked the people who voted for Trump because they didn't want to be involved in pointless wars are now ok with a pointless war. Tucker pointing that out would seem like a rallying call to conservatives. Especially because Cruz is a clown.

It's not MAGA without the military industrial complex though so it's on course. "We can't fix the domestic issues so let's go another 10 trillion in debt in the name of oil interests. "
Literally nobody is talking about us getting into a war except the fear mongers that don't want to be in one. Being in a full on war with ground forces, etc is not the same as taking out some nuclear production bunkers. Nor does anyone really want part in establishing a new regime - leave that up to the people of Iran.
Agreed, there is intentional(?) mixing up
-people advocating limited use of bunker buster bombs with
-advocates of full on war with Iran with
-advocates of regime change in Iran.

given this is the exact stance Trump has always had on Iran, anyone that is "WTF" is their own fault.

owens has changed her tune because she hates the jews. there is no denying that at this point.

Yeah, I guess he's not doing it to get re-elected. But he ran on a platform of no-new wars, if I recall correctly. America first. This doesn't feel like a "no-new wars" "America first" strategy.

Funny as heck seeing all our res libs showing up to white knight for Tucker Qatarson.

Bet we can find plenty of their previous posts trashing the guy.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Has there ever been an sleeper cell in the US identified? I'm pretty sure this is another boogey man the media and hollywood uses to sell movies and manufacture consent for things like the Patriot Act. And we continue to fall for it.

Honestly its pretty funny watching this board, who I assume are all old enough to remember being fed lies about Iraqi WMDs, clamor for another ME conflict 20 years later because of "muh 2 weeks away from Nukes".

It's pretty funny that you don't realize that this Middle East conflict has been ongoing since Iran-sponsored terrorist organizations paraglided into Israel on October 7 and massacred innocent people.

It's also pretty funny that you compare this conflict to Iraq when then dynamics of warfare are completely different than they were 20 years ago and Israel is carrying out the objectives.

But hey, I guess simple comparisons are all that some folks are able to comprehend.
Agreed. Sodom Hussein used poison gas(WMD) on his own citizens, most notably on a town of 60,000 compared to Islamic fundamentalists leaders calling for the destruction of the U.S. who are actively developing technology for nuclear bombs.

What if the bunker busters don't work? Then what? Boots on the ground to destroy it?

What if bombing can't prevent a nuclear weapon in the next year, two years, three years, five years, ten years?

What if Iran kills hundreds of U.S. Servicemen with their missiles? What is the response? Endless bombing?

Why did Trump approve Israel's attack when he knew it wouldn't work to take out their nuclear capacity? WTF?

Don't worry, according to the TexAgs moralists, it is the duty of Americans to die in far flung deserts and leave widows and orphans at home. Totally fine. If you do come home, according to the TexAgs moralists, enjoy your broken back and welfare rolls, while the Middle East continues being a backwards **** hole.

ETA God forbid you come back to Texas with chronic nerve pain from an Iranian bomb; THC has been banned by the same moralists who forced you to go to war.

I don't know how you can achieve the objective of 100% no chance of nukes without boots on the ground, and essentially occupying the country. Israel can't do it. I assume that US probably won't do it.

Simply calling balls and strikes as we are still in this preliminary stage. The amount of "go open a can of whoop ass" mentality I'm seeing on here is troubling.

It's called a GBU-57, aka the MOP. Drop that thing on Fordow, this will set the mullahs back 30 years. The goal was never occupation.

The moralists on TexAgs are totally fine with sending Americans to die in far flung deserts and be replaced by Mexicans and central/south Americans.

Sure would love to go to Arlington and tell my great uncle he fought in the pacific for the rights of mexicans, central and South Americans, to come take over the country.

Potential problem with just using air power, especially if our goal becomes what Israel wants (Regime change), is that we create power vacuums that are hard to control without boots on the ground. Remember, Iran was helping to fight ISIS. I'm pretty sure Iranian backed militias even coordinated with the US.

In general, I think most Iranians would not start joining up and forming extremist groups like ISIS. In fact, I highly doubt it. They're a pretty educated and peaceful population as a whole. But, what happens when a group does form, and there is no strong military to oppose it? How long before someone gets the bright idea that we need to put boots on the ground to stop it. Remember, this time it'll be different.

I'm sure Israel is just salivating at the idea of US troops on the ground, just like they went into this conflict knowing full well they would switch their messaging from "We can take care of Iran ourselves" to "the only way to stop Iran is for the US to get involved."
