Earlier this season, his teammates called him “Mr. All-SEC.”
The nickname has officially been validated.
On Monday, the Southeastern Conference released its 2026 all-conference teams, and Texas A&M was represented by forward Rashaun Agee on the third unit.
A double-double machine, the graduate student is averaging 14.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game as Agee has started 30 of the 31 contests he has appeared in.
Perhaps the most important player to his respective team in the SEC this season, the Chicago native is well deserving of this honor and is a major reason why Bucky McMillan’s Aggies have exceeded expectations in 2025-26.
Wearing No. 12, Agee the Aggie posted a school-record 12 double-doubles thus far, with his most-recent performance marking a season-high 26 points to go along with 11 boards in Saturday’s triple-overtime victory at LSU.
Helping A&M finish tied for fourth in the league at 11-7, Agee averaged 16.1 points and 9.3 boards against SEC opponents.
Listed at a generous 6-foot-8, Agee becomes the first A&M forward to appear on an all-conference team since Tyler Davis was a first-team selection in 2018. That is not to discredit Andersson Garcia, who made the SEC’s All-Defensive Team in 2024.
This is Agee’s second all-conference honor of his collegiate career to go along with a second-team All-MAC selection in 2023-24 while at Bowling Green.
Next for Agee & Co. will be an SEC Tournament bout against either Oklahoma or South Carolina on Thursday in Nashville.
After that, Mr. All-SEC will take his talents to March Madness.
