That's kind of my point. What discussions have there been about what our role will be after the fact? We really don't know what the high level of government is thinking or planning. Are they going to take refugees? Are we going to send in Halliburton? Does it become Syria 2.0 with a decade of bombings?

There is no role after. Trump has stated, the goal is removing nuclear capabilities. If the Iranians want a regime change, the Persians need to rise up and do it.

How do we feel about boots on the ground post strikes to inspect the sites?
Israeli boots? yes.

He didn't torch anyone.

It's an exciting time for you liberal Biden supporters having others irrationally go against Cruz.
Agreed. I am kind of surprised by Ted Cruz's responses TBH, as if he was throwing in the towel on not knowing at all how many Iranians there were etc. but I have only seen that one clip and get the sense that he was already pretty testy and impatient and ready to get the F out of there, sensing an ambush of "gotcha's" from Tucker.

He can generally do better than "no I don't know how many, you tell me" or whatever that line was.

Again, dosn't matter if there are 60MM or 90MM imo, but was just kind of surprised how he seemed to cede that he was clueless. I think he was likely just rattled by the fast moving ambush and in reality does have a rough sense of how many people are in that country. Really, all you need to know or say is "there are order of magnitude more citizens there than in Israel" or something like that.

We don't. If they refuse UN inspection then we keep bombing everything military/leadership and nuclear until they do.

I don't want there to be anything left to inspect.

Not one American boot on the ground. Unless it is hand-me-downs being worn by Israelis.

Whatever they do it needs to happen fast. I can totally see Iran dispersing uranium to terrorists to use as a dirty bomb later.

Israeli boots are the only thing that prevented them from having weapon grade uranium for the past 20 years. We all know Biden and Obamas method of diplomacy, aka giant pallets of cash, was a giant waste of time.

Tucker didn't break anyone.

He just showed how much of an ass he is.

Put Cruz and Tucker on a debate stage and Tucket will be crying for his mommy in short order. Asking stupid gotcha questions not breaking anyone.

Add the Hodge Twins to the list of social media idiots.
What do you mean by "put them on a debate stage?" That's basically what this was, and this is what Ted had to offer. Does Ted need a moderator to prop him up or something?

An interview where one person controls the questions is not a debate.

I didn't actually mean to quote the hodge twins comments, fwiw. But whatever, Cruz didn't have his "a-game" on imho in the snippet Carlson released to fan flames about the podcast, and really shouldn't have done the stupid show, again my two cents.

I do think Cruz is a top 1 percent IQ elite thinker in terms of policy/law/politics. It's unfortunate he won't be a SCOTUS justice, sadly.

Tucker was a condescending ass, refused to let Cruz answer questions without twisting his words, and cried that he was being called names after accusing Cruz of being beholden to foreign agents and calling him names. He's become a joke shock jock.

Ok so it's no longer just bombing the nuclear sites? It's an indefinite bombing campaign with increasing targets and objectives?

Yep, the bonus is that we give people a chance to steer their country back towards sanity. But that must be on their own. If we are going to assist, it should literally only be something like lending a bomber that can reach the underground enrighment facilities and destroy them for good.

I really hope Trump does not fail this test. So far he is doing mostly what people voted for...but this would be a major departure from that.

I hope Mossad doesn't have pictures of his pecker or something...or worse. Half joking. But the way to control Trump is by his ego. Either building it up, or threatening to do it major harm.

No. It's continued bombing until their nuclear sites are gone and they refuse to try and implement one. If their leadership wants nukes, they die.
Tramp96

There is a reason Israel has (1) warned Iranian citizens before they attack, and (2) not attacked civilian locations.

It's been very strategic because at the end of the day, Israel and the US do not want to make enemies of the same Iranian people who could be instrumental in a regime change and would then be people we would want as allies.

So no, you won't see expanded bombing campaigns. Every bomb will be purposefully designated so as not to destroy Iran's infrastructure, but just their ability to wage war and create nukes.

Not even sites. IDF accomplished that. It's primarily Fordow, bc Israel lacks the heavy bombers needed.

This was the most contentious part. Ted plays the antisemitism card and Tucker does the faux outrage routine. You can't not be entertained by this.

Cruz should take the L. He looked like a fool. He was immediately defensive when he didn't have an answer. People may believe that the questions were somewhat irrelevant that I disagree. If those in power are seeking to overthrow the government and institute regime change everything about that country should be known by those voting on that. 92 million people is a lot of people to deal with in that transition period and humanitarian aid that we would be on the hook for.

I say this as a Ted Cruz supporter, who voted for him the first time against Trump in the Texas primary

It's irrelevant.

If Iran has 10 million or 100 million they still can't have a nuke program.

There's been quite a bit of enlightening statements made by many of the "political influencers" out there over the last week. Sadly, most of their followers either bought in or don't realize they were sold a bill of isolationist nonsense, some of which absolutely is rooted in antisemitism even if they aren't aware of it.

Massie is mostly a clown outside of fiscal policy. Tucker turned himself into a clown after following globalist conspiracy theories too far down the rabbit hole and getting kicked off Fox. Posobic was always a clown. Most of the right wing Twitter warriors (and many YouTubers) are clowns. The same goes for the left wing talking heads.

When you constantly chase engagement you begin to lose reason and radicalize yourself. I'm just pleasantly surprised that Trump, for all of his faults, has been able to keep his head straight and surround himself with people that don't drink the isolationist "libertarian" Kool-aid. Hegseth seems to have been a pretty good pick in that regard, even with all the issues he's had. I doubt any of this happens with an isolationist SoD.

The complaint is pretty odd.

Farhad Shakeri was born in Afghanistan, immigrated to the United States as a child, served 14 years in prison for robbery, and got out around 2007-2008 and left the country. While in prison, he befriended Carlisle "Pop" Rivera and Jonathan Loadholt, who he reached back out to 16-17 years later to kill the president?

It also looks like the FBI interviewed Shakeri and he was not arrested? There are also two other unnamed co-conspirators mentioned that don't seem like they have been arrested?

It doesn't really make a lot of sense. I also don't see anything more recent than the initial reports from the end of last year.
