Not bending over backwards to keep giving more and more money to a never-ending conflict isn't being pro-Russia...it's being pro-America and focusing on our own interests first. We gain very little from this conflict, other than possible leverage with Ukraine...but their leader clearly has no respect for our own country so why trust them more than we'd trust Putin? Neither are moral leaders.

There will be endless war without our aid. These people hate each other and it won't stop simply because we pull aid. More will die.

My family and friends freely traveled between Ukraine and Russia in the 2000s and 2010s prior to 2014 with no issues. So did Russian and Ukrainian families.....

Illegitimate coups staged by the West can have far reaching consequences. Us breaking our commitment to not advance NATO membership eastward (Reagan, Bush 1, and Clinton assured him) is the other part of that.

But you don't want to consider that......... When people point that out... you just protest 'You are parroting Putin talking points'.

It's already an endless war with no end in sight and no end to the killing. We're just supposed to write a check when asked and say nothing...I think that's the wrong approach and we need to consider America's interests first. This is becoming an Eastern European version of Afghanistan where there's no plan and just endless fighting. The whole "We gotta fight em over there so we don't have to fight em here" philosophy has soured a lot of Americans on global conflict.

He's already said that. The Ukrainian Constitution does not allow for elections in wartime. He's already said there will be an election as soon as the war is over and he's willing to not run again.
