Nothing can be more basic of a security measure than a concrete barrier, but they failed to do even that.

Even if Bourbon had been barricaded, he would have just picked a different target. You can't physically protect pedestrians from vehicles in all cases. There's hundreds of people on the sidewalk of Canal street at all hours of the day and night. He could have easily done as much, if not more damage that way.
Exactly right. If Bourbon st would have been barricaded, another street would have been found with plenty of people. You can't close an entire city off.
We could have closed the border and likely prevented this in the first place if Democrats weren't traitors and hated Americans.

What happens is these guys may be normal dudes. They go on Hajj (religious pilgrimage to Mecca) and meet other crazy Islamics who brainwash them. It is easy to turn them into jihadis and want to fight for a Caliphate etc... even educated people fall for this.
