We are 9 hours from the incident. Every news source is rushing to be the first to report something and drive viewership. You are going to get a lot of misreporting, bad info, conflicting reports, etc. It's the fog of war effect multiplied by the 24 hour news cycle, seasoned with competing state and local PIO policies, procedures, and spokespersons.

Obviously the Govt needs to make it 1000% harder to rent vehicles. Maybe even station a federal employee with a GED at every counter.

I fly internationally a lot. I sleep like a baby knowing that I won't wake up to a terrorist shampooing my hair at 30,000 feet with anything over 3 ounces.
