Yes. We went for the Sugar Bowl in the late 90s. Bourbon street was a dangerous, filthy place even then. Took forever to get a cab out to our airport area hotel around that time. Fights in the crowded street, broken glass, the stench of urine everywhere, people puking…
I promised I wound never go back to NO. Not the kind of party I like.

You can see it. Because of shadows it is difficult, but around five seconds the black flag is contrasted with the orange/red of the sidewalk.

from reddit: The truck is a 2023 Ford F150. Looks like it was purchased "used" (but likely new) in Pasadena, TX in August, 2024. Claims it had 48 miles on it and has a lien held by Ford Motor Credit Co.

Good point. A midnight attack would point to more pre-meditated perhaps.

edit: 45-70ag probably is right... less security at 3am?
My guess is the police surged a bunch of overtime officers into the Quarter and released them around 2am.

Now the FBI releases a statement saying they are investigating it as an act of terrorism.

What a clown show.

Should have been ONE, JOINT press conference to make sure local and federal authorities were speaking with one voice, and to NOT come out saying what it is and is not at that stage.

I would say the Junior DEI hire should be reprimanded for her irresponsible comments, but knowing this FBI she'll probably receive a commendation.
