There's a LOT of military drone development and testing happening right now. The technology and applications are exploding. DOD is less concerned about hiding it than keeping up with adversaries but they aren't going to disclose anything.
Perhaps they are trying to find a radiation signal from a yet to be detonated device?

Also, WC-135s would be completely useless to find an undetonated nuke. Their job is to look for and collect evidence from a detonation.

I see all of those as drones big enough to deliver large payloads.
More importantly, if we were really looking for an undetonated WMD, we would have these things flying 24/7, not just at night for a few hours. Was just coming here to say I was listening to Bongino just now while running an errand and he said he thought they were from abroad and coming in from the ocean. Had a clip of a congressman from NJ who was on the beach last night talking to a boat captain who said he was follwed by 15-30 of them while driving his boat.
We can't defend our borders, why would we think these morons could defend our airspace?

- Once again asked what these are. Cannot even say if these are even drones vs small planes
- But CAN say no threats to installations or civilians

There are plenty hunters in New Jersey/Pennsylvania area. Surely, there's someone up there with the right power and the right kind of thermal scope to bring one (or more) down.
This has got to be our spooks. Probably some kind of exercise or something. Those liars in Washington know exactly what is going on.
Iran simply does not have this capability. They cannot accurately target a ballistic missile and their air force is barely capable of flight. They have no deep water ships unless they have joined up with Russia or China to borrow one.
Then why light the things up like Christmas trees? And don't say because it's the law!
