Not sure if this was posted. Last week a Chinese national was arrested flying a drone over a mile above a restricted Vandenberg space force base.

It was, back on the 13th.
Yep, completely unrelated. This was a single guy flying a small drone, not close to the scale we're seeing over NJ.

I strongly suspect that it is a form of hysteria -- people are seeing whatever they are inclined to see.

If true, then what new news could there be?

So the drones are from China now? People in congress cant make up their mind. Seems like they'll say anything

December 17th and you got local mayors, state officials, federal agencies, DOD, the WH and congresspeople all saying completely different things.

The only thing consistent about this is the inconsistency of information being released to the public.
And often complete nonsense as well. These drones don't have the range or endurance to get here from China. So if China is responsible, that means they brought them here undetected and are basing the operations and maintenance of them IN America. It's ridiculous and insulting.

So we have confirmed at least 1 Chinese national had a pretty advanced drone capability to hack the disable feature on drone and fly it a mile above Vandenberg Space Force Base. Haven't heard anything since.

Today we heard a Senator claim the drones on the east coast are Chinese spy drones above military bases. While other in gov claim its routine military drills.

Last year we had a Chinese balloon with 2 rail containers full of spy equipment fly across the country. We were told that "was not a major breach" and that "Chinese leadership was not aware of it". No consequences, Americans forgot the next week.

Couple years before that, China leaked a virus from a lab that killed millions and totally disrupted our election. After being lied to about a wet market origin, we got an ambiguous confirmation of lab leak with no explanation on the circumstances or CCP involvement. Americans decided it was more important to fight amongst each over masks and vaccines, instead of demanding answers on a potential bioweapon attack from our enemy.

Yeah, I'd say we are being gaslit once again. Guess the CCP needs to gather intel while Biden still holds the keys.

China has been buying land near our bases. We just arrested a Chinese national flying a drone over our space force base. Our country is full of Chinese spies. Some drive our politicians around for decades, others sleep with them. Many steal proprietary info from our tech companies, others hack our telecom. It's happening from within. It wouldn't be hard to ship parts into the country to build, source them here, or sneak them across border.

Also, they fly big ballons with large payloads across the globe. They are way more advanced than the cartels who get truckloads of contraband into the US every day.

I didn't hear anything insulting. I'm actually glad to see someone within gov speculating on probable scenarios and demanding answers.

How do you know it's unrelated?

Also, it wasn't "a single guy" Zhou was accompanied by someone else, and all we know is that person entered the US on Nov 26 from China. Zhou was arrested in airport on Dec 9 trying to flee back to China.

I don't care if they are just taking aerial pics with small drones. Entering our country to spy in unrestricted spaces is a big deal. Other countries would execute an American for doing that. The circumstances around their entry and exit are shady. And we hardly know anything more than that.

Starting to think you are right. Because you are talking about the kind of situation where start out with maybe a 15% true (if that) kernel, and then everyone is suddenly seeing or hearing `witches.' Or even manufacturing them.

Anyone ever question why our own gov told us the Chinese spy balloon was NOT tied to Chinese gov? Or why our gov led us to believe the Wahun lab leak of COVID was a random accident?

The CCP owns Joe Biden. Hes been on their payroll for years. We know this from Rosemont Seneca. Biden was appointed in 2020 with pallets of pandemic mail ballots. Then Xi made him China's bych.

I haven't seen anything yet that changes my view that these are primarily technology demonstrator prototypes being operated by private defense contractors. That allows Kirby to say that they're not USG drones. Sure, it's not a straightforward answer, but it's technically true.

and what's your reason about WHY this would be happening with private contractor drones?!?

if that was the case, why wouldn't the government simply say:

"we are testing private sector drones- nothing to worry about"?!

Government officials *always* try to avoid giving details away whenever possible. Politicians at every level and in every party make a habit of sticking as narrowly as possible to the wording of the question. They all do it, regardless of the issue or topic. They can't help it. So just because they're being cagey about *NJ drones* doesn't mean anything significant.

There's plenty of reason to believe that defense contractors are involved in this. Before the hysteria took hold, the original eyewitness reports and videos were very similar to new drone platforms like PteroDynamics P4. I posted one of their sizzle vids at least a week ago.

Yep. Another example of instilling confidence in people. " Mam, as a herpetologist I can tell you with confidence that the snake you saw inside your garage is not one of the deadly ones we have around here, I think "

Flashback the Chinese spy balloon incident when after that incident we find out that NORAD has the ability to tune up their radars to track mylar balloons that escaped from the dollar store.

Now fast forward a year and nobody has any idea about anything and all branches of government are spiderman memeing each other.

After the Chinese spy balloon they went crazy and started shooting down anything that moved.

Shot down UAP in Michigan, Canada and Alaska over the course of a week to which there never was any explanation.

Yet another example of what Benz was talking about.

Bypassing oversight, checks and balances and the constitution by simply hiring people to keep everybody's hands clean.

The equivalent of hiring non-persons from the home depot parking lot to work in the crawl space then accepting an award for exemplary safety and compliance later that night.

Good points from a drone operator, specifically the FAA requirement that any drone heavier than 250g must be equipped with remote ID. Includes a video snippet demonstrating how local LE and the FBI can coordinate within minutes of a drone sighting to establish who is operating a drone.

Adds up to "this is a federally approved operation", not rogue drones from hobbyists, Iranians, or Chinese spies.

This is where I have been leaning lately...only real questions if that is the case is if it some sort of exercise, or some type of genuine operation.

Only to be legal.

People can build these things in a day or so depending on how fancy they want to get, and they certainly don't have to include an ID broadcast system if they build it themselves, they are just in violation of some regulation, if they don't include it or turn the squawk off.

Yep, Biden gave a speech after the balloon where he specifically said they were beefing up their capability to detect unmanned aircraft.

This is the type of stuff that gives me pause when you look at the hypersonic nuke capabilities of China and Russia. Most Americans think there is some button or process to win in a nuclear attack, or worst case, MAD. But seeing this type stuff makes me think we could actuallly be sitting ducks.
