New Jersey Drones

The website Geiger Counter World Map shows counts per minute between 222 and 278 in New York City. (Note; that's not what the map shows when it finally loads for me).

Zero hedge piece.

Or, it could just be some guys with drones.

I don't know what these things are doing, what their purpose, or anything about these, and I don't believe any of the "narratives" that are coming out. However, here is what I do believe
\
1. They are real
2. Our government is lying
3. In typical fashion, their lies are flat stupid

I mean, they say they don't know what these things are, yet say they don't have the "authority" to shoot them down. Some random unidentified planes/drones are flying in US air space, and we don't have the "aurhority' to shoot them down? Really??

it's **** like that is why these "narratives" come out. Even my 79 IQ cousin on my son's wife's side knows that's total BS.

As I said, I have no idea what these things are doing, but if the government is making up total BS for cover, it's probably not great.

Counts per minute is not the same thing as dose equivalent, which is what mSv refers to. Not even close to the same measurement.

HpGe is not used for detection. It is used for identification. There are much cheaper alternatives that are used for detection.

A dirty bomb is far from the greatest threat we face. The dangers of a dirty bomb are mainly from the actual conventional explosives and the ensuing public reaction once people hear the term "dirty bomb" or radiation. Cleanup would be laborious, but not technically difficult.

If you want to talk about actual threats posed by WMDs, a chemical attack is a much greater threat. Dangerous chemicals are everywhere, and not well protected. Actual chemical weapons are not difficult to make, they are easily dispersed, harder to detect and identify, and much more difficult to clean up or decon than radiation.

My favorite is John Kirby standing up there telling us they don't know what they are while in the same breath telling us they're not a threat.

If you don't know what they are how do you know they're not a threat?

Thought the same thing.

Kirby is either playing stupid to protect a confidential military program, or he is actually stupid.

Kirby is a lying POS going all the way back to the Afghanistan debacle.

I've never seen him making a statement that wasn't a lie.

He is a disgusting piece of **** and has no business holding any position in the government of a free country.

And as expected it seems the heat on the feds to provide more info is fading.

Seems like the MSM is shifting to discussion of drone regulations that make flying these legal. They're buying into the BS line of 'These are just legal drones operating in legal airspace that we can't do anything about'.

I still think there's a ton of circular nonsense to at least most of this and it's perpetuating itself. The vast majority of people have no skill identifying what they're looking at in the sky, especially at night. And once this became a story weeks ago there has been an exponential increase in the number of people actively looking and paying attention. And every balloon, plane, kite, helicopter, blimp, drone, planet, and blinking tower on a hill has now become "Oh my gosh, they're over my house, too!!!" on social media and so the news says the number of sightings has been increasing everywhere, which causes even more now-worried but generally ignorant people to go and look.

The only "interesting" ones seemed to have involved things like gunfire and other things now shown to have been faked, or else anecdotes like 50 coming in off the ocean which may be true but where we have nothing to look at.

Plus, why do people keep insisting they're the size of a SUV or bus? How the hell do you know that just from blinking lights in the dark half a mile or more away? If it's close enough to tell that then it's close enough to get an identifying photo. I don't know, no one has a lower opinion of government than me and maybe they're up to something. But at the same time regular people are mostly clueless, too, and many are straight up nuts. And it's not helping any that the UFO cult is out in full force, insisting that everything you see is an alien and the standard navigation lights are an illusion and they're shape-shifting and so on.

I rewatched a good chunk of the 911 live news broadcast a few months ago and right after it happened a network had a "man on the street" interview by phone and the witness insisted that what he saw, right over him in a clear blue sky, was a small private plane, not a commercial airliner, then they got the video. I mean, you're listening to the guy who was standing right there under it who was immediately demonstrably shown to be dead wrong about what he said he saw. In perfect conditions.

I predict this turns out to be not a panicked search for a nuclear weapon, not an incursion from an Iranian mothership, not a prelude to a Chinese attack, not a bunch of out-of-control terminator AI drones that got loose, and certainly not the big revelation that aliens are all around us, but simply "that other time like covid when everyone lost their minds over basically nothing."

Well, it would be nice if our government were honest and transparent. Instead, they lie and obfuscate aout everything.

Any panic is a result of an untrustworthy government that no longer serves the people.

I agree in theory, if there genuinely is anything significant to it to reveal. But if not there's no polite way to tell the public "You're all simply idiots." I'm no fan of Kirby but he's probably right when he says that every case that can be followed up on has been shown to have a rational explanation. But in the meantime a million more people are saying "There's lights over my house too!! We're being invaded!! AAUUGGHH!!!!!" It's regular people panicking regular people.

If the drones are doing something like radiation detection as suggested in the tweet above, I can understand the government not providing details. However, I don't see any harm in them just saying the drones our ours and they are conducting unspecified drills.

Sure, folks will speculate, but they are speculating now anyways and it's a heck of a lot better than the flimsy lies, misdirections, and silence we are getting now.
The best way to keep evil men from wielding great power is to not create great power in the first place.

I think the most likely theory is that these are being used to draw awareness so that Congress will push forth a bill limiting use of drones for the private sector and providing federal government with outsized control.

Exactly. We don't have to know everything, but to have government employees going around and saying things like "I haven't seen anything credible proving there are actually drones flying around" is just gaslighting. It is 100% bull***** Our government should not be lying like that. It just feeds the conspiracy theories.

If it's a clandestine foreign government doing this, then why add freaking lights to it for everyone to see?

If it's from the US government running a training mission, why do it over the most paranoid part of the US?

The only conclusion I can come to is that it's the FEDs on an actual mission and don't want to say what it is.

Somebody on my neighborhood facebook group posted about a drone flying over the neighborhood yesterday.

It's funny b/c I know who the guy is and he's a neighbor of mine. And I flew my drone over the neighborhood all summer and not one person noticed.

I don't think that's BS at all. There are, in fact, regulations governing the use of drones. It makes sense to compare those regulations with the drone behavior that's been reported so far. Why the federal government won't address the issue *at all* and provide even basic answers is a mystery, but they're not budging an inch. MSM has to fill airtime somehow. Might as well talk about the laws in place and see if that leads anywhere.

In the same way the betting markets were a barometer for the elections, I think the stock market may be a barometer for any early stages of a new cold war. So far this seems to be a non-event in the markets. The billionaire class always gets quality intel before the rest of us, and if they feel significant uncertainty lies ahead, we likely see sell off in risk assets....leading to a disruption in current "animal spirits" sentiment.

You probably right. This may be a marketing stunt in a familiar pattern.

Covid : Vaccines

Drones : Drone Detection System

The drones will continue until you give us $300 billion to detect and track advanced drones.

Americans love being trolled and shaken down. Covid proved this.
