This is an issue for women and I hope they get it sorted out.

The reality is that if women wanted to put a stop to this it would have been done yesterday.

So the fact that this has not happened suggests that women are ok with it.

This issue is feeds drama and has a titilating element to it which women seem to feed off of.

So it'll stop if and when they want it to stop.

In the meantime they'll just have to deal with getting ROCKED by male athletes.

Just like Soviet and eastern bloc athletes, trans women have been under the influence of too much testosterone and it presents an unfair advantage in a women's group. Likewise their hormone levels put them at a significant disadvantage against men. It's the only solution that respects all three groups of people.

I believe that you let the market decide. NBA, WNBA, and CWDNBA. I don't think there will be much demand for their brand of basketball, and then people will decide that they're tired of it.

As we've seen, they'll just raise the price on consumers of men's sports to subsidize the less popular one. In other words, the market will not be allowed to dictate, at least at the surface. Eventually I suppose, the market could depreciate the interest in men's support because of this.

This is not the way, the 17 real women on the sjsu team have not asked for this or deserve it.

Nevermind that the whole reason they are doing this is because they can't compete against other men. It's like my identifying as a 10 year old and dominating the local little league teams. I can't cut it against other 42 year old men who are much bigger and stronger than I am, but I could definitely take on the 9 to 11 year olds. And I'd feel pretty good about my accomplishments too. There won't be a demand for players to even sign up for this league. That goes against the entire point of playing against women.

And those genetic components literally create significant changes at a fundamental level during appropriate development, resulting in massive differences when it comes to physical strength and capabilities. Too damned left brained for living in a make believe land in my 40s to accept a science not based on actual science.

There are schools in areas without much population that field junior high or junior varsity soccer teams with both boys and girls on the team. At that age, the differences are relatively minor and it may be that the girls are the bigger and faster for a bit.

I haven't heard of any school that fields a varsity soccer team with boys and girls on the team.

Its probably worth it's own discussion in another thread but what's never really discussed is the ethical aspect of all this. It's common in syfy that in some distant future we are able to change sexes or meet aliens capable of doing so. Sometimes I think this is used to push a certain agenda (Le Guin comes to mind), but there's no discussion of how we get from point A to point Z. Right now we have "doctors" giving people hormones or removing body parts without much consideration for long-term effects. That would only get worse with figuring out how to change DNA in functioning humans just because they want to.
