So I know this story has been related before, but there was a poster here whose son went to A&M. His son had been a decent high school basketball player at a DFW area 3A team. First team all district - starter for varsity for two years. No college interest whatsoever - he was like a 5'-10" PG.
He responded to an ad at A&M for guys who played high school basketball. They were looking for guys to create a scout team to play the women's varsity team. They got paid a salary for this and he said sure. The rest of the team were guys like him - decent high school players who had no college interest. 2A-3A high school guys mostly.
This team of spares routinely beat the crap our of A&M's varsity women's team. They were bigger, stronger, quicker and more aggressive. There was absolutely no comparison.
And this was in 2011 when the women won the National Championship. A group of spare Texas 2A-3A dudes were much better than the national champs.
They actually gave the scout team guys rings - but he never wears it - cause - really?

So far CS says they're playing. But the outcome sucks for women's sports either way. If SJSU wins, the ridiculous battle for/against trans athletes continues. If CS wins, then the pro-trans-community has the argument that the trans player doesn't make a difference.
Colorado State should follow Boise State's lead and tell Team Trans to go play with themselves for the mythical women's championship. This dilutes the SJSU season and keeps the fight alive for women's sports.
This is a sad day for women's sports.

I think the argument that this particular guy is hitting too hard to make it unsafe is distracting from the fact he is stealing a scholarship from a woman. I do realize that some men would be much better but not in this instance. When you combine that with the ladies practicing against men scout teams that part of the lawsuit probably didn't resonate as well.
I wish CSU would schedule a match against BSU instead and let that determine who we all call the champion.

I don't think SJSt will make ncaas. The forfeits counted for MW standings but not for NCAA per my understanding.

In general, I'd agree that is possible and even likely at some point if this **** continues. However in this particular case people that have played against this dude have said he isn't that good compared to some of the top flight women. So I fear the lawsuit that is alleging dangerous conditions in this one case will not be that strong.
They had a couple of people outside today again. Looked like San Jose State fans by their gear. Asking for peoples opinions on the topic. I was late since I was at the TAMU hoops game but I gave them a blurb in support of women's sports being just for real women.
