Reparations for a socioeconomic institution that predates the Republic by 4,000 years or more IS insanity. Not to mention it would expose the governments of multiple African nations, the UK, Portugal, France, Spain and the Netherlands to civil suits in US courts because they all had a hand at some point in the transatlantic slave trade.
