I think the benefit is that the jury will want to hear from him because he killed 2 people and pleaded self defense, no matter how obvious from other witnesses. I can see Kraus and Binger digging a hole for themselves as well based on their behavior yesterday.

Still probably not a good idea though.

Judge has already ruled that was inadmissible...unless the door somehow gets opened during his testimony. That's the risk and it is a big one.
