All the people there to support Sully should wear the Unity shirts.
I don't think the Unity one comes in Maroon. But this one does....Mr. AGSPRT04 said:

Again, what the hell is Pat Henry doing allowing this nonsense?
My daughter would probably go but her white privilege requires her to work this summer so she can pay for her Fall tuition.SW AG80 said:
I was one of the old Ags at Sully 10 days ago. I was standing next to "Leroy" and I kept urging him to not engage the protesters, that we were there to keep Sully from being defaced. I did have a civil dialogue with 4 protesters who were all Aggie students, one of which was Infiniti. I would not be at all surprised if there was an attempt to damage Sully. On the Friday I was there, CSPD and the campus police were in attendance close by. I hope they will be again.
And I hope some younger Aggies show up to "guard" Sully this time. The more the merrier.

State jail felony, and there are a lot of cameras. On the area now. If they want to all lose their scholarships...
And once it is down, it will not go back up, which is what Young is counting on.
Speak for yourself. I want Infinite Tucker to serve ten years in prison if he tears down the statue.rwtxag83 said:Rapier108 said:All of those people would consider it a badge of honor to take one for the cause if it meant destroying Sully.MouthBQ98 said:

Exactly.
We don't want people to be charged with a State jail felony for taking him down.
We don't want him to come down in the first place. If he comes down, it'll likely be forever. We can't allow this.

Best course of action here, imo, is to leave the protestors alone. They seek attention and confrontation, do not give them either
I would go but I need to work, intern, study this summer and take care of family property.HumpitPuryear said:My daughter would probably go but her white privilege requires her to work this summer so she can pay for her Fall tuition.SW AG80 said:

A&M isn't institutionally racist. It's the phrase the left is using now to tear down one institution at a time. As long as our administration can recognize that for what it is (yeah I know...) then we'll be fine.4stringAg said:
I'm still not connecting how TAMU is "institutionally racist"? Because of a statue of Sully? Or are these more words to sound good for the grievance crowd?
Every action I've seen A&M take is to increase opportunity for PoC in terms of admissions, scholarships, funding, etc likely to the disadvantage of white people so if there is institutional racism, there you go.

How tf is a few "willing" people gonna pull a statue from the ground?Rapier108 said:If no one shows up to stand in front of Sully, then they will pull it down.Saltwater Assassin said:

What I tried to say to the 4 I was speaking with 10 days ago was that I agree there are problems in our society with racism and inequality, especially in the criminal justice system and education. But that Sully is just a symbol, to them. of racism. So I suggested their time would be better spent trying to end racism and inequality instead of taking down a symbol that many respect. That fell on deaf ears.4stringAg said:

This guy is from NYC where there were more than 30 shootings, more than 50 wounded, and a dozen or so dead just this weekend.....and he's still obsessed with a statue?

Tucker states, "Verbal actions are Not enough it's time to take "Sully" Down."
Tucker wants to take Sully down only because Sully was a former Confederate General.
Yet, Tucker supports AOC, a Democrat. Democrats were the Confederacy. Democrats brought you slavery. Democrats brought you the KKK. Democrats brought you Jim Crow laws. Democrats filibustered against the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Allegedly, everything Tucker is against - institutional racism, he will support in 2024 in terms of a Presidential candidate in AOC - the Democrat.
Tucker is one mixed up person.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Good luck.
