The way he phrased his question to Rebecca was really interesting, especially considering what we learned in the last few scenes.

"I was hoping we could have a chat about your newly-opened manager position."

In context that seemed like he was talking about the men's team right after Roy told them he was leaving, then we see Alice getting promoted a few scenes later.

And forgot to mention, the new Crown and Anchor owners should be fun.

Also in case some don't know the reference.

Diamond Dogs and Cat People are both David Bowie songs.

This season got better as it went along. Wasn't sure it would find its stride, but it ended up just right. The twins singing "The Parting Glass" just about got me, and Mae reciting "When Death Comes" was lovely. I'd give this season a 7/10 on the Lasso Scale, which, as somebody pointed out earlier, is basically a 9/10.

This felt like it wrapped up nicely in case they don't do another season, but is definitely open enough that they could. Which I'm sure they will

I will say I thoroughly enjoyed this season. Was cautiously optimistic as I thought it would be hard to recreate the magic of the first run, but thought they handled it well.

My only negative thought was that they didn't really make me care for the current crop of players the same way as I did the first go around on the men's club but they were able to use old characters to still tug on your heartstrings.

I'd say overall for me 8/10 and thought the finale was great.

Pretty fair. Mostly agree.

Disappointed that they didn't take the Ted romance story any further after he learned the stage hand had a BF.

Also, weird that they never explained what his ex-wife did or how she spent her time in England. Did she have a job in KC and got transferred or what? Maybe I missed it.

The last episode, while it seemed to wrap up a lot of storylines, it seemed rushed. I didn't even realize it was the last episode of the season (series)?

I was questioning whether they could replicate the magic of the earlier seasons with a whole new team and dynamic, but they did a great job. There were a few throwaway storylines, but the heart of Ted and Roy being Roy absolutely made this an enjoyable season.

I really liked the reveal of Coach Chilton messing with Ted's chair all season. Such a simple thing, yet it said so much...that she believed all along, even when it didn't look like it. That was great.

When they brought Nate back I thought they were setting things up for him to be the new men's manager. I could see that being a potential storyline if they wanted to do another season...and have both Richmond teams coached by assistants that Ted developed and believed in.

The Rebecca and Higgins big reveal was executed perfectly.

Instead of dreading they'd beat a dead horse with this season...they left me wanting more.

My feeling was that they wrapped the show up for good.

With the viewership numbers Apple still gets, I doubt it.

I'm guessing Ted finally getting back into the dating world will be the S5 central focus.

This season was very good, and the finale was great. It was hard to control the emotions when the twins started singing. I loved the way Rebecca and Higgins had their mock fight to throw Zelda off, even if it was apparent that was going to happen; after all, it is Ted Lasso. I was happy to see Ted talk to his son about his father's death. It was important to me that he was honest about it.

Great finale, but one question: Who won that last match? They showed it about to start, showed Keeley's reaction to a bad call and then skipped to afterwards, but I don't recall ever hearing who won the match.

It also didn't matter because their last win had already kept them away from relegation. That was the on field stakes for this year.

No that previous win did not keep them from being relegated - it resulted in them being promoted from the WSL to the top league of women's soccer. I assume it's also called the premier league? So this game was not that important.

It's soccer, so no game is that important.
