Agreed episode 2 was better. Enjoyed it. Anxious to see if they can pull off good characters / personalities of the players that aren't just clones of the previous players on the men's team.

Episode 2 was an improvement over episode 1, it just felt more like the old show to me. It was great to see Ted and Beard back together. I think my favorite part was when Ted had his first chat with the goalkeeper, Boots, who in addition to not wearing gloves while in goal also said she didn't use oven mitts either? I also enjoyed Roy fixing all the stuff he did to the visitor's locker room.

I was cracking up the whole time in episode 2.

And FTR, I do not go looking for it and even if I see it, I generally just roll my eyes and continue being entertained by whatever I'm watching (Ellen Paige and the Odyssey was grossly overblown IMO - hell, it wasn't even 'woke' at all, just a poor choice for the character - I thought the movie was great for the most part). I can't think of but maybe 2 or 3 times when it was so over the top I turned whatever show off and stopped watching future episodes.

Episode 2 was MUCH better.

But episode 2 felt like classic Ted Lasso. It was great to see Beard and Roy again, they were great. The new coach seems like a good new addition.

Roy messing with the opposing team's locker room was hilarious.

There were some eyeroll moments, but overall I thought this episode showed a lot of Tedd Lasso promise.

Unlike most posters, I enjoyed the first episode more than the second one.

I thought the interaction with the twins was ridiculous. You are young adults playing professional soccer, not 7-8 year olds.

Also didn't care for Beards homeless person appearance. You are a coach of a professional soccer team. Separate your personal life from your job.

I did like how Ted was able to convince Chilton to stay.

There's a few player stronger set up potential:
Figuring out and solving why the goalie doesn't wear gloves
Getting the two sisters to work together
The couple creating drama or love
Finding the spark to make the team go to the next level
The injured girl returning for rehab

I didn't dislike episode 1 as I took it as the set up for Ted to go back to England to coach the Women's team. I am in agreement with all, episode 2 was leaps and bound better.

Some random thoughts:

1.) Coach Chilton and "Boots" the goal keeper are my favorite new characters.
2.) The twins interaction will get old so fast. Hope they stop that soon.
3.) Coach Chilton has resemblance to coach beard
4.) I lol when Roy was telling Keeley about "losing" coach beard.

Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Actress playing Chilton is superb.

Team is still cardboard cutouts, but it is early yet.

Its not the show with the deepest or most complex characters

My wife is a theatre person, and not sure if this has been brought up, But she had this observation: episode 1 was Dorothy in Wizard of Oz themed. Episode 2 was Alice in Wonderland themed.
