Those going to Houston show want to meet up before show?? Most likely will be at Dirt Bar for pre-drinks

I took my 17 year old son with me last night. Last time I saw them was at the Texas Jam in 1984 in Houston, and I'd seen them the year before at the Summit for the Signals tour. Honestly, as they got into the meat of Xanadu I actually found myself tearing up a bit sitting there with my boy watching my favorite band from my youth who I hadn't seen play for over 40 years. It was just all simply amazing! Geddy sounded great and both he and Alex can still play perfectly. Anika was impressive and was really hammering the drums but with the technical perfection we always expected from Neil. 2 plus hours of music plus a nice intermission so us old folks (yes there were quite a few of us) could go use the facilities. Only problem we had was getting soaked by the rain a bit before we could get in the building. Epic show!

Works for me. Doors are at 6:30, show at 7:30. Looks like it's about a 5 minute walk.

Planning to bring the wife since she got me tickets for the 1990 show at The Summit.

She'll miss the headbanging bunnies but, I think she'll enjoy Cartman and Lil Rush. I know she'll like the bathroom lines - LOL.

It was 7:55pm when the lights went down on Wednesday. It was 7:45pm in Fort Worth.

There is a short film to start so 8pm or so at the latest.

Awesome!!! Love these stories.

Took my son to the R40 show in 2015 he was 20 at the time. When this tour was announced he was as excited as I was and we saw them together in FW.

I had a similar very emotional reaction to the first show - teared up a few times at the beginning and on the tributes. I went to a second show in FW a few weeks later on the rescheduled dates and was a little less emotional but almost enjoyed it more as a result.

It was fantastic but I'm hearing they are in an even better groove musically now that they have done 30+ shows.

My best friend and me each saw Eric Johnson and his lady friend and said hello.

That was cool.

I'm jealous of y'all tonight but at least I saw them in FW in June. It was worth it. Best show I've seen in years.
We saw Triumph in SA in May (well, Rik and Gil) and Rush in FW in June.
Didn't think I would have the opportunity to see either of them again but I did.

We got the set list I missed from the FW cancellation. That was a gift.

The drumming she did on Working Man was incredible tonight. She tore it up.

They played for a good 2.5 hours. We started at 7:50 and ended at 11. For old guys they have some serious stamina.

He shredded every bass he played tonight. And his vocals were better than R40 I thought. He and Alex looked like they were genuinely having fun.
maroon barchetta

His vocals are better than the last two tours for sure. And these two shows were even better than what we saw in Fort Worth, and those were incredible.

I'm already looking forward to Houston. That will be their first time for a single stop. All of the others were 2 or 4 and they all got the 2112 or MP set.

I'm hoping that the single show gets them combined.

Maybe so. Didn't think about that.

They did that for the last show in FW that was a makeup for the double postponement. June 24 was moved to Jul 2 because of the border issues and then Jul 2 was pushed to July 13 for Geddy's illness.

Anyway they played what was mostly LA setlist 4 but pushed all of the MP stuff to set 2 along with all of 2112.

Set 1:
Xanadu
Far Cry
Subdivisions
The Pass
Freewill
Bravado
La Villa Strangiato
The Trees
The Anarchist
The Spirit of Radio

Set 2:
2112 Part I - VII:
Time Stand Still - Neil tribute
Moving Pictures
YYZ
Red Barchetta
Limelight
The Camera Eye
Witch Hunt
Vital Signs
Tom Sawyer

Encore:
Finding My Way
Working Man

Pretty funny moment last night was Geddy losing his transmitter out of his back pocket during 2112 when he and Alex started goofing around going back to back. He had to pick it up off the floor and signal to his crew for someone to come reconnect it. Alex held his arms out at Ged while exiting the stage like he was taking the blame.

I'm up moving around on 3 hours sleep. My ears are still buzzing.

I still can't get over seeing them play again and seeing and hearing the level they played at. That was a damn good concert. To hear Xanadu, La Villa, By Tor, Freewill, 1/2 of 2112 and all of MP in order, that's a fans dream come true.

Last night's San Antonio show was stellar. The boys were spot on. Great set list. And that gal on the drums…well yeah.

The house was packed and no one left early. They kicked it off with Xanadu and played for over two hours. Including the whole Moving Pictures album.

Someone will have to tell me what Loren Gold does. Every time I looked at him he was just standing or wandering around back there.
