Rush was my very first concert in 1989. It is still the greatest concert I've ever been to. Glad all of you who saw them got to enjoy it. I couldn't bring myself to see them again without Neil.

You really ought to reconsider. It's moving. It's emotional. It's cathartic. And it's a tremendous show. I've seen them several times starting in 1981. This might be the best show overall. And no one could revere Neil more than i do.

Enjoy it for what it is. A celebration of their music and tribute to Neil.

I was prepared to bawl tonight. And cheer for Anika.

I'll find a way to get to a show somewhere. I never thought I would get another chance after R40 and have no intention missing this.

You summed it up perfectly and I couldn't agree more. I'm still reliving as much as I can in my mind from the other night. Knowing what I know now after Sunday night, if I had missed it I would've regretted it forever. And I'm not exaggerating. Especially after seeing it with my family.

Home. 10.5 hour round trip for an old fashioned, grilled cheese sammich and sweet potato fries.

And a shirt. I got a shirt.

One of the weirder things I have done in life. Now to figure out when and where I can manage to go

Plan A: I want to go to Manchester UK in March. See Rush and ManU. Mrs Mathguy vetoed that. I said I could go alone. She said hell no.

Yep.

Sunday exceeded what I had ever seen from Rush in many ways. It was an incredible show.

Agree with many of you. Never thought I'd have the opportunity to see them live again. They are the definition of a great rock concert. I also got teary eyed when Xanadu led into Limelight - 2 of my fav songs ever and 2 songs I've been playing on guitar for 40 years. To see it live again, then watch them play banger after banger. I can't wait for San Antonio and will look at July 11 tix if there are a bunch available after all of the reschedules.

That's sad, they were just getting rolling.
They really were.

It was 3 weeks between the two times I've seen Rush on this tour.

Night 1 in LA, everyone was excited and they were great but they weren't tight. And there was something off about one of Annika's toms (in my opinion).

Annika didn't hit her groove that first night until YYZ.

But Sunday night in Fort Worth, they were a tight band and it was all systems go from the first note of Xanadu.

The mix sounded great. Could also be differences in the venue. But from the perspective of getting your money's worth, the FW show was great as a show.

Night 1 in LA was great because there were so many super fan freaks (like me) there but it was in some respects a new band. They're not new anymore and I hope they can pick up right where they left off.

Crawling outta bed this morning, feeling achy and hungover (even though I had zero alcohol) after the roller coaster of yesterday's emotions and 8+ hours of driving between Cypress and FW. Still can't believe we were told the news by the young kids directing cars as we pulled into the arena around 6, all excited to head to the VIP lounge. We were so bummed that we said, F it, and packed up to head home for our own bed.

I know it's just a postponement but seeing that's it's 2 shows makes me really wonder how much these guys can do, and if all this tour is realistic.

Well, regardless, we've rebooked our VRBO for 7/11. Guess I'll refrain from reading message boards and social media for yet another week so I can still be surprised by the set list and nuggets come show time.

Spent an hour fighting Ticketmaster at midnight trying to get tickets in San Antonio. Every time we would grab a set it would come back and say "that's no longer available". Finally got it to agree to sell me 2. There are lots of resale seats for almost double prices.

I hate Ticketmaster with a passion.

This was always the wild card in such an extensive tour: Geddy's voice. You can be as physically fit as possible and still have vocal problems, even when working with a coach like he has. It's even worse when you're a septuagenarian. And out of your normal routine and environment. The ol' immune system ain't what it used to be.

My dad sang (on a MUCH smaller level) well into his 70s. He always had to take an antihistamine before a concert just to get his voice through it. He wasn't even the lead vocalist, and those concerts weren't ~3 hours long. Maybe half that.

Keeping my fingers crossed that Toronto dates go as planned. We have tickets for the Aug 9 show, and flying back out the next day.

Interesting.

Antihistamines are not good for your voice long term.

2 of the Toronto dates would have worked for me. I looked last night. Yeah as expected there was basically nothing available.

Last night sucked.

Lots to be hate Ticketmaster about, but they aren't the ones setting those prices.

It's not the prices. It's the bots grabbing seats. It's the vicious resales for double value. It's the "yes these seats are available until you try to buy them and then they aren't" BS. And then the generous "you have 10 minutes to finish the transaction" crap at 1:00 AM when Ticketmaster decides to no longer recognize your card on file and you are retyping everything in and miss a field and have to start over and barely make it by 20 seconds.

**** Ticketmaster.

I hand been thinking about the Friday night show in Fort Worth on and off since the show. It really rekindled my love for the band and inspired me to make this coin pendant this weekend. It's all cut out by hand from a half dollar. I've made a couple of them in the past but this one turned out the cleanest.

It took me about 45 minutes of saw time to make. If you're serious, send a pm or email to scratchmetalwear at Gmail. I could make a few more.

Yeah

My son can't go. We could always return the ticket for a refund but if someone wants to buy it and sit with Ags that would be cool too.
