Eh, that almost makes it worse, IMO. Like a cheap knock off.
I’m so thrilled that Cristin Milioti is having her moment thanks to her role in The Penguin, I’ve been a die hard fan ever since i saw her on stage in Once and she absolutely crushed her one-episode guest appearance in 30 Rock as Abby Flynn pic.twitter.com/Zyn43N6mLd

I completely blanked on HIMYM. She was so sweet and now such a different role. I never tied them as the same.Lathspell said:
Palm Springs is a very underrated movie with Cristin Milioti. Granted, I first started crushing on her as the Mother in How I Met Your Mother.
I don't know if it was discussed, but no plan for a second season. Heart breaking.Brian Earl Spilner said:

I think it's kind of planned as simply a bridge between The Batman and the next one.AgShaun00 said:I don't know if it was discussed, but no plan for a second season. Heart breaking.Brian Earl Spilner said:

Yeah, kinda sucks it was only meant to be a limited series.
But on the other hand, it kind of means Penguin won't necessarily make it out of the season right? Cause if it's just setting up the second movie, we could be going forward with Sofia Gigante rather than Oz.
Would be unexpected for sure, but damn if they didn't get a whole bunch of people on board with Sofia with a single episode.
Granted, that's still highly unlikely. This is very much feeling like we're setting up Oz to fully "break bad" with his villain arc after his mother dies.
Dude! That was *11* pages and over a month ago!!!TCTTS said:
Oz/Colin Farrell has been confirmed for The Batman Part II for a while now. That's our "season two," which will pick up a week or so (in-universe) after the season ends. (Just FYI, I mentioned all of this on the first page of the thread.) The question at this point is whether Vic or Sofia make it out of the season alive. Right now I'd say no to the former, and a slim but growing chance to the latter.
Oz will use Squid or his crew to move product through Crown Point, thus launching his empire. He might even convert that apartment to something nice too.DannyDuberstein said:
I thought the Squid thing would pop up by the end of the episode. Since it didn't, it tells me it likely plays into the long/end game for the season
Im very happy this turned out to not be the case with the bike rider, if only because online rumors need to be wrong sometimes.TCTTS said:FL_Ag1998 said:
And the underground hideout is perfect. My son tells me he's seeing online chatter that it's the same underground trolley system that Bruce Wayne uses to hideout in. Not confirmed, just speculation, but still an interesting, and I think legit, guess.
Technically, the Batcave is in "Wayne Terminus," which was apparently a "private train station" of some sort that was shut down in the 1980s. So not public, and not a trolly system, at least according to The Batman Wiki. That said, I had the exact same thought, as they have to be setting up some kind of connection there. It's simply too coincidental that both Batman and Penguin's base of operations are now in closed down train/trolly systems underneath Gotham.
That, and they've teased this guy twice now, both in the mid-season trailer and the episode six trailer...
I'm not saying he's Wayne's "Drifter" character on the same motorcycle from The Batman, but both trailers open with him, as if they at least want us to think it's him, for whatever reason...

I would like for there to be SOME connection to Batman in this show, even if its breadcrumbs leading into the next movie and nothing too substantialTCTTS said:
For the record, technically there were no rumors (at least that I saw) that was Wayne/the Drifter. Reeves is on the record as saying no Wayne/Batman in this series. I was simply pointing out the similarities and speculating what such a seemingly intentional misdirect could mean. That said, I still think there's a slight chance Penguin & co stumble upon the Batcave in, say, the very last scene of episode eight, but that's about it.
