My one complaint, whether Gladiator or Troy or others, stop making the armor, especially the chest armor plate, look so plastic, comfortable, and flexible. Even if the armor was boiled hard leather instead of bronze or iron, it just looks bad. It needs to look really uncomfortable. Because it was.

I saw a promo for the new Gladiator movie and said to my husband, “That looks good. I wonder if I need to see the original first so I know what’s going on.” My husband jumped up and with his full outside voice said, “YOU’VE NEVER SEEN GLADIATOR?!?”

Just got out of seeing it. Great movie. Epic doesn't begin to describe the scenes in the colosseum. Pascal and Denzel do an amazing job with their character, A+ acting. I didn't care for the guy who played Maximus' son much but it might be just because of the talent he was sharing the screen with.
5/5 stars, go see it. For sure

I am incredibly bummed that they are retconning Lucius to be Maximus's son. So did he cheat on his wife or did he knock up Connie Nielsen and then go get married to someone who lives hundreds of miles after that and get that chick pregnant ? Because his kid that gets trucked by the horse doesn't look that much younger than Lucius.Cinco Ranch Aggie said:What son?Quote:

Or are you talking about the son of the emperor's sister?
You were closer, the actors are 5 years apart. Not sure why I was too dumb to look them up in IMDB before posting.Brian Earl Spilner said:
They look at least 6 years apart to me.
Real son looks 5-6, Lucius looks 11-12.
I'm not against the retcon, because there were enough hints in the first movie that he could've been the father.
What I do dislike is that they revealed it in a freaking trailer. That should've been a huge moment in the movie.
