But they didn't say the word though

But could they replace the E with a U on a Roy Kent jersey?
Speaking of this, today I just found out what the Welsh word for 100 is.DTP02 said:That'll be 5 pounds for making me think it.LeonardSkinner said:But could they replace the E with a U on a Roy Kent jersey?LawHall88 said:I think Sudeikis said in an interview that Apple censors asked him not to use the "c word" (rhymes with "punt") even though it is apparently thrown around a lot in England and isn't considered as offensive as it is here.BBRex said:

I thought it was the perfect time for him to use the word. It caught me by surprise and I believe it's the first time he cussed on the show.Goodson said:
Ted's series of f-bombs with his mom were unnecessary and jarring.
More importantly, they were completely out of character. Go back and watch all three seasons if you like. When did he ever drop an f-bomb -- even in the most difficult of encounters where frustration or outrage might have given cause to do so?
It's not an indictment of the use of the word. Goodness knows it's used often enough by other characters. But to throw it in just because you can -- for shock value -- and betray the character profile you've consistently built over multiple seasons?
Colin's story line was good. Keeley's just seemed forced.PanzerAggie06 said:There we go. Fixed it for you. Plenty thought Colln's storyline progressed the "plot" quite well. Feel free to disagree but either way you'll be OK.David Happymountain said:
People worried about swearing being uneccesay but don't seem too bothered by neither of the gay relationships thrown into the show not progressing the plot at all for me.

Why would I ask what if it had been a man if it was about Colin?Ghost of Andrew Eaton said:
Colin or Keeley? Colin's just made more sense. Keeley has been run through more than a train tunnel and now she's all of a sudden attracted to a woman. It didn't take or add anything to the story but it made her character seem absurd.
I love the arc that all the characters in the show took. It was sweet and fun. That was just annoying and seemed to be just for the sake of doing it or trying to add a story layer onto a theme, which is what Lasso did a lot of the time.
It's a minor complaint.
Take away the story of Nate's girlfriend and it changes nothing.Rudyjax said:Why would I ask what if it had been a man if it was about Colin?Ghost of Andrew Eaton said:

Did it bother you because it was a woman and not a man? What if Jack were a man and the same story happened. It's just as pointless.PanzerAggie06 said:Take away the story of Nate's girlfriend and it changes nothing.Rudyjax said:Why would I ask what if it had been a man if it was about Colin?Ghost of Andrew Eaton said:

Take away the story of Sam's restaurant and it changes nothing.
Take away Beard's crazy relationship with his girlfriend and it changes nothing.
Take away the three malcontents in the pub and it changes nothing.
So..... what's your point?
I think these two were important to the story arc. Yes, neither really changed anything but they certainly added to the story. Nate's helped make him more sympathetic and showed him that he could be loved unconditionally without the pressure he put on himself. The three malcontents showed the allegiance and love that English soccer fans have for the teams as they endure the inevitable ups and down.PanzerAggie06 said:Take away the story of Nate's girlfriend and it changes nothing.Rudyjax said:Why would I ask what if it had been a man if it was about Colin?Ghost of Andrew Eaton said:

Yes, it bothered me that it was a woman because it was just unbelievable and unnecessary. It would have been fine if Keeley had been a lesbian from the get go. So don't make it about gay or not gay, please.
And a Premier League player coming out of the closet, a first, somehow adds nothing to the "story' while Nates GF and three drunks adds something of consequence?Marauder Blue 6 said:I think these two were important to the story arc. Sounds like a real ho bag to me.
We don't know abut any previous men or women.
Sounds like you're just a little homophobic and misogynistic.
Established that she only dated men or men and women? Or did we just assume it was only men?ChipFTAC01 said:Rudyjax said:2 men on the show.Ghost of Andrew Eaton said:

To be fair it's been established at the beginning of the show that she's a fairly "famous" WAG.

C'mon, you don't have to be a cliche in one single post. Be original.
She's clearly a party girl that has been out and about. "When I was 18, I dated a 23 years footballer. I'm now almost 30 and still dating a 23 year old footballer." I'm comfortable in the assumption that she's been lose with her body and we have no evidence that she has dated a woman before.

I couldn't agree more. But it's not any more pointless than any other dead story.DTP02 said:Rudyjax said:2 men on the show.Ghost of Andrew Eaton said:

Sound like you're a guy on the internet looking for a fight. I wouldn't oblige except for I clicked on this thread looking for some Lasso news only to find you being obtuse.
The Keeley-Jack storyline was a complete waste of time and unentertaining. In fact it detracted from the only entertaining aspects of the PR firm, which were the interactions with Juicy the CFO as well as the dorky office drone.
As to your pointless point about how that plotline didn't change anything, you're missing the opportunity cost. There are limited episodes and limited minutes in each episode. They wasted far too many on an unentertaining plotline which necessarily means you have to give short shrift to critical things like the team and Nate's story arc, which was rushed and hamhanded by this show's standard.
Could you get rid of the three drunks at the pub? Sure, but they provided comedic value and a window into the connection between team and community.
The reason the nature of the relationship is relevant is because it's pretty easy to conclude that they shoehorned it in for the primary purpose of featuring another alternative lifestyle on the show. They made the story secondary to the SJW goal with that decision, and that hurt the show.
