Any predictions?

I know the popular one is the true Cinderella story that Richmond wins the Premier League and Ted and Coach Beard ride off into the sunset.

I'm thinking Richmond sees a massive improvement, doesn't win the Premier League, but qualifies for the Champions League. Ted has no idea what that means, obviously. In the end he hands the team over to Roy Kent and there's a flash forward showing he's turned them into a dynasty.

I'd love to see Nate fail at West Ham and get sacked during the season.

Richmond have a successful year and stay up in the PL. Ted leaves to go be with his son back in America, but Beard stays behind with Roy. Nate learns he's not ready to be a HC but also that he's being used by Rupert and he and Ted have a reconciling of sorts before Ted leaves.

I could see that happening. And possibly Nate having a 'redemption arc' to his character and eventually replacing Coach Beard under Roy.

Iirc, the showrunners have said they wrote this as a three season arc. I suppose they could extend it, but I bet the Ted-ness story ends with this season.

I like this. I don't need anything ridiculous like them getting Top 4.

Did they win the Championship or get promoted via playoffs? I'm slowly working my way back through seasons 1&2.

I think they tied the final game of their season to get promoted. I don't think there was ever any mention of playoffs, so I guess they won first place? Idk, the show plays fast and loose with soccer stuff sometimes.

Since this is a Wizard of Oz tale, Ted ultimately has to find his way home, just like JD and Toto's "Africa" from Scrubs.

Home doesn't mean going back to his wife, but him being with his son... especially after learning about his own dad's death in Season 1. Ultimately, the show will aim for the son to live with him in England or he goes back to Kansas.

I hope Nate realizes he is being used and reconciles with Ted. I hope Roy Kent and Coach make a great team. I hope Roy and his girl can balance work/life balance to succeed.

Maybe this isn't that show given the crushing blow of season one's last game, but I do think there had to be some kind of emotional payoff where Ted succeeds at Richmond by winning either the PL or CL, probably against Nate in the final game with Jaime Tart making the extra pass to Futbol is Life who crosses to Sam for the winner. Nates redemption arc is him losing, apologizing to Ted, but being his own success as a Lasso-lite coach at West Ham. Epilogue Ted returns to the US and takes the job to turnaround the flailing St. Louis Blues.

Tape Deck Heart is the album that got me hooked.

If you want a feel for a few different styles, a great one is the compilation album of all his hits from his first six albums that's called 'Songbook'

Awesome live performer and a touring maniac. To promote his new album last year he did a show in all 50 states in 50 days.
