That new chick is annoying as hell. I thought she was exaggerating the accent and all that at first. But if that's her character? Good lord. Horrible. Hope she doesn't have much to do with the show.
Yeah that was awful. Worse than Calamity Jane on Deadwood. Please tell me this isn't going to be a thing this season. How does someone in some position of authority on that show not say, "nah, let's tone that down a little. That's too much."
Rip even mentioned that she was faking it.

Rip watching Beth eat breakfast with no dialogue- for the first 10 minutes of the show. A lot of filler scenes this season.

I told my wife I was going to watch her eat breakfast like that and she said hell no. So weird!

The writing for the dialogue that the boy speaks is just awful. God awful. And once you listen for it, the rest of the show is so damn flat.

To paraphrase, "oh my I must have overslept!" or the "the work just won't stop following you"... good lord. No 9 year old on the planet would talk like that. Or however old that kid is supposed to be.

Have always liked this show, but hard to get past this annoyance.

And let's pick up and move the entire camp to a higher and more unobstructed elevation because homie doesn't know how to go to airplane mode.

I may start watching this show with the volume on mute and just watch for the scenery.

Really disappointed that Taylor Sheridan, who grew up on a Texas ranch, is allowing that, or even worse, is behind it.

Pretty solid episode that moved storylines along this week even though it just glosses over major moments while lacking context.

The ranch hand stuff is still largely cringe but I guess it works...kinda?

This show is a mix of Dallas, Sons of Anarchy, and Deadwood. All in a blender. Just a primetime soap opera. And sure enough with the previews next week, here comes a biker gang.

I'll give it the rest of the season but it's squarely on the line of guilty pleasure/not worth continuing beyond this year. Hope the rest of the season is fun enough to keep going.

This episode was the best by far this season but that isn't saying much at all. I imagine the season is going to get better but if it doesn't this would have to be one of the hardest season 2 to season 3 crashes ever

i had switched to Youtube TV and thus gave up on this show. now that I can watch it I caught up this weekend.

Agree that the scenery is stunning. i like the relatonship between Dutton and his grandson. And as long as there's a chance a Beth Dutton rampage will happen, I'll keep watching. The dress shop scene last year was imho a top 5 all time tv moment.

So thoughts on Jimmie? He gonna make it and have a side plot of courting the rodeo flag girl or is he a goner?
oh no

jimmy can't be dead. this show doesn't have enough of anything else going for it to kill of Jimmy.

It was easy to see he was gonna get hurt when he was told a hand is useless with a broken arm or whatever he said. It would've been cooler if he said it an episode or two before.

Yeah, the foreshadowing was too obvious in that scene.

But never fear, Kayce the wolf whisperer has magic powers and will heal Jimmy right up.

Too much was going right for Jimmy at the time for there not to be some sort of accident. Whole crew gets the night off to go watch him, attractive rodeo girl notices him hell KISSES him. Then you factor in the foreshadowing of Dutton telling him about a hand with no hand, and him drawing the toughest horse. Poor Jimmy.

It's all BS anyway.

No stock contractor would have opened the chute gate like they did in the show. They know when you're ready, or not

But then again, it is just a TV show ....

Just a wild stab in the dark but I'm thinking Jimmy lives but is paralyzed or crippled. Now we see what happens to a branded man who is willing but not able. Also it will be happening to a character we care about.

exactly what I was telling my buddies last night. How did NO ONE say that was ridiculous.
I read an interview where she even said it was written for her phonetically, so it's not an accident that she sounds just like that.

Some real highs and some real lows on episode 4. The last few scenes were freaking awesome though!

If you want to deal with hippies/Antifa, send in a motorcycle gang. If you want to deal with a motorcycle gang, send in a buncha cowboys.

I wish they'd have had some of the Sons of Anarchy playing the bikers. At least bring back Opie for that.

I wish Dutton would have given them the Marcellus Wallace speech. "Y'all lost all your Montana privileges!"

I want to like this show so bad - like I did in season 1 - but man I find myself cringing way too much.

Ironically even before the biker scene I was thinking to myself "this is starting to feel like SOA" (in a bad way). Awesome start but then just one cringe after another.

Cringe Of The Week award goes to the scene where Casey & Pocahontas' kid wanders off into the forest, so of course they start screwing, only to look up and see the Big Bad Wolf lurking around out there in the same forest where their kid is wandering around shirtless. So they shrug and keep screwing. Actually, I left out a part. Before they shrug and resume screwing, Pocahontas delivers the line of the night - "Don't you stop loving me to kill something".

Ugh. Oh, and early 20's former convicted felon Jimmy has never had sex.

Awkward dad & son scene where they tip their hats good mornin' to one another before returning to their tent/teepee at the request of their lover/squaw for more plowing.

I did enjoy the Yeti product placement, however.

Kayce and Monica scene was sort of bad but it's good to see that the ranch is healing their relationship. Gotta remember, this is sort of a soap opera.

The scene where they both get out of their tents was funny I thought... "When's breakfast?.. John!!!... Later this morning" and he scurries back in the tent.

Just banging the governor of Montana in my frontier tent on me 500,000 acre ranch. No big deal.

Jimmy banging Josh Brolin's daughter in the ER... lol good for him.

The biker scene was great, mostly because I love Rip and his total badass-ery. Plowing down those bikes with Diesel truck and then whipping those weekend warriors from Cali's ass made my viewing experience.

And then making them dig their own graves.

I'm still not sure if I'm happy that he didn't kill the bikers.

On one hand that would be a pretty cold blooded thing to do like we haven't really seen on this show (more akin to GOT or SOA).

But on the other hand, if raising toddlers has taught me one thing it's that you don't make a threat you aren't about to back up.

They've done that plenty on this show... it just all happened in season 1. Guys that wore the brand were murdering mofos left and right.
