I want to like this show so bad - like I did in season 1 - but man I find myself cringing way too much.
Ironically even before the biker scene I was thinking to myself "this is starting to feel like SOA" (in a bad way). Awesome start but then just one cringe after another.
Cringe Of The Week award goes to the scene where Casey & Pocahontas' kid wanders off into the forest, so of course they start screwing, only to look up and see the Big Bad Wolf lurking around out there in the same forest where their kid is wandering around shirtless. So they shrug and keep screwing. Actually, I left out a part. Before they shrug and resume screwing, Pocahontas delivers the line of the night - "Don't you stop loving me to kill something".
Ugh. Oh, and early 20's former convicted felon Jimmy has never had sex.
Awkward dad & son scene where they tip their hats good mornin' to one another before returning to their tent/teepee at the request of their lover/squaw for more plowing.
I did enjoy the Yeti product placement, however.
Kayce and Monica scene was sort of bad but it's good to see that the ranch is healing their relationship. Gotta remember, this is sort of a soap opera.
The scene where they both get out of their tents was funny I thought... "When's breakfast?.. John!!!... Later this morning" and he scurries back in the tent.
Just banging the governor of Montana in my frontier tent on me 500,000 acre ranch. No big deal.
Jimmy banging Josh Brolin's daughter in the ER... lol good for him.
The biker scene was great, mostly because I love Rip and his total badass-ery. Plowing down those bikes with Diesel truck and then whipping those weekend warriors from Cali's ass made my viewing experience.
And then making them dig their own graves.
