Michelle Williams was solely nominated for not being able to complete a sentence in a 45 second scene in Manchester.
I'm not saying they didn't deserve to be nominated but they have a very powerful presence in their short scenes.

I remember last year how there was also a weird group of people on this board way too vested in explaining why Get Out (and only Get Out) was super unworthy of Best Picture and if it won the only reason was virtue signaling.

Subjective... but there's a lot that goes into a movie and I absolutely think this year there were probably 20 films that could for the mold of Best Picture and Black Panther was one of them.
Not my favorite film of 2018 by any stretch but I thought it was really well done.
I liked BP. Think it's a top 10 (but not too 5) Marvel movie. It has decent rewatchability. It's NOT Best Picture.

I just find it a weird one to call out this year as completely unworthy. I fully thought it was a cut above both Blackkklansman and Bohemian Rhapsody.
I guess for me Bohemian Rhapsody would be the WTF movie... Movie was incredibly overrated and I hate that Rami Malek will probably win best actor... I thought his performance was ridiculously over the top and not that difficult when you consider it was just a bunch of lip syncing.
BR deserved them, imo. That said, what exactly is the difference in the two awards?
