Bring a box of Kleenex in respect for your seatmates based on your various reactions to the trailers.

Well the Wakandaplex-16 was sold out, so i had to go to Ethiopia instead.

But seriously. This movie was just a-freaking-mazing. In 5 minute spans you'll laugh, cry, and shout "HELL YESSSSSS" at the screen in jubilation

Endorsed by that crazy NASA lady who drove straight from Houston to Florida to try and kidnap her ex-boyfriend's new love interest.

RE: after credit scenes, there are no content spoilers in this. But I tagged it for the extra hypersensitive anyway, just in case...

According to RunPee on the AMC app, there's a "short sequence" 3 minutes into the credits. The credits run for 12 minutes, with an audio only extra at the end.

Wow. That's commitment. So what's the plan? Stay up until and through the movie, then sleep after? Or go to bed early tonight and wake up just before?

I'm going at 11:30AM tomorrow.

I'm usually pretty good about avoiding discussion of something I haven't watched yet, but I'm not sure that's going to be possible for this one. I don't know how long it's been since I've gone to a movie on an opening week. I have a feeling this will be kind of like the Hardhome episode of GoT, when even the sports talk radio hosts were spewing spoilers.

I was amazed when I saw my dumpy suburban AMC is showing it all night and all morning. This is going to be an event.

I just read that the ArcLight in Hollywood - between all the various screens - is showing it 201 TIMES this weekend. I've never heard of anything even remotely like that.

This particular theater was retrofitted with recliners a couple years ago, so it's a fairly small seating and I was able to reserve an aisle seat for pee breaks. Which, sadly, i'm old enough to have to think about now when I go to a 3 hour movie.

Ignorant question here, but are studios able to make deals with theater chains when they want to go for a big opening weekend, or are the theaters just responding to demand?

I've never seen a movie feel like such a mega event, the way this does. Not even The Force Awakens... I couldn't imagine not seeing it this weekend and feeling left out of the conversation. Honestly, I hate that I'm waiting until Saturday.

I know studios aren't allowed to own theaters, and I don't think they can make deals with theaters either, but I'm not 100% sure. In this instance I think theaters are just responding to the demand.

I'm seeing it Monday with my brothers after work. Had no intention of fighting idiots all weekend. Playing golf Saturday followed by dinner at my parents. Sunday is church and then watching Astros until game of thrones. Monday is work.

I really don't think it will be that hard. But I don't spend too much time sifting around the internet, so likely easier for me than most of y'all.

I think Star Wars has just become such a perennial leaky thing that it no longer has the urgency it did when a few us were glued to TheForce.net, waiting for the midnight showing of The Phantom Menace. Which, come to think of it, was probably the last time I went to an opening showing (at the old Bryan mall movie theater).

Marvel's done a pretty good job of keeping things under wraps and building momentum with the thought that this will be the last one for a while.
