i'm generally not a fan of long run-time movies.

that said, i thought they did an amazing job with infinity war and it didn't "feel" like a 2 1/2 hour movie to me. obviously another 30 minutes is significant, but if the russos are good with it, i gotta think they'll pull it off

Am I going to have to do some sort of training so I can make it through this movie?

That was the shortest 2.5 hour movie I've ever seen. Constant action.

The transitions from place-to-place, storyline-to-storyline, group-to-group, were nearly perfect.

too bad annoying Scarlett Johansen is not one of the departed heroes.

Say wha? I'm a completely heterosexual female and even I am fully aware of how easy she is on the eyes and when it comes to annoying characters in the Avengers movies, she is low on list.

I'll be glad when this movie comes out just so we won't be inundated with ridiculous fan theories any more about how they beat Thanos.

This is nothing compared to Snoke theories or where the soul stone is. So glad that stupid T.H.A.N.O.S. theory was crushed.

Just read that they are considering putting in an intermission in the middle due to time and that most movies back in the day used to have one... said the hateful eight had an intermission

An intermission for a blockbuster of this scale would be awesome. Going with a group of friends and/or family, then having 10 minutes or so in the middle of the movie to go out in the hall/lobby and discuss, give predictions, get a refill on concessions, and use the bathroom - man, I'd be so into that. It'd feel like even more of an "event" than it already is. Now I'm going to be disappointed if they don't go this direction. This is the Super Bowl of blockbusters. Why not have a halftime?

Just thinking about that weekend gets me hyped now. Endgame, the third weekend of NBA playoffs, and the third episode/halfway point of the final season of Game of Thrones. What a great way to kick off the summer.

I don't want an intermission, but I can understand why.

Theaters are probably not happy about a 3 hr runtime. That means fewer showings per day, and people will be wary about buying drinks and snacks bc they won't want to leave to go to the restroom.

If the cinema has an intermission, then people may buy stuff at the beginning and middle of the movie.

And if they were smart, they'd wheel a concession carry over 5 min before intermission...

I am onboard with an intermission as long as there is a overture before the movie starts.

Those of you that didn't see the hateful 8 in the 70mm roadshow version missed out.

Did they ever do intermissions in the US? Growing up, they were commonplace for long movies, but only in Mexico that I can recall.

I specifically remember Titanic had an intermission.

They used to do them in older movies a lot, Titanic is the last one I remember.

If the intermission looks and sounds like this, I will scream and clap my hands like a little girl. Best intermission ever.

yes, it is real. no it is not Disney, but from an affiliate.

Looks bad. Widow in the trailers has blond, not red hair, for some reason that eludes me (BW is not known for blond hair). I'm glad Cap shaved and is wearing his cowl again. What's up with short and slender Hulk? He should be larger and Hulkier in various ways.

edit to add- Hulk is barely taller than the rest.

I have seen them on occasion, but not in anything recent. They were fairly common for longer movies in the 70s.

Really? Not when I saw it. Maybe different theaters did it differently.

Yes, so did Gettysburg.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill
