Saw AIC at Buzzfest several years ago. Knew their music to be dark but live, wow, it was depressing. Was a buzz kill for me.

Eric Johnson is doing some dates in Austin this month, and across Texas/Oklahoma in August...go enjoy a guitar master in person.

Saw tweet earlier today: Eric Johnson and his Electric Band to be at HOB Houston Aug 14. Thought I had seen an earlier announcement that it was an acoustic show but the name implies otherwise.

Just got tickets in the mail for Dave in Tampa next month.

I've seen them play dirt a few times. Their current set lists are very heavy 90s. They play the token 1 or 2 each from the 2 new albums, the rest is 90s.

I have tickets for July show at paramount theater in Denver. dead center 2nd row orchestra (behind the pit)

Just saw Flight of the Conchords tonight. Awesome show! They played a ton of new music, so I'm hoping a new album will be out soon.

I picked up Band of Horses tickets for their Napa date in late August. The wife and I are just happening to be there on that night, so it's pretty awesome that it worked out that way.

Caught Springsteen River Tour in Denver a few months ago.

Will go again in September . This time, Pittsburg.

So . . . 8 acts means about 250 artists will have stumbled around on the stage, huffing and puffing every 3rd verse of these classice songs, when all is said and done.

Believe me, I'd love for events like this to go smooth and hear some quality renditions of all the hits, but these things usually end up turning into a circus.

I don't feel too committed to this. If it was just 2 Live Crew then I would be fully committed.

Decided against the show although I'm now seeing if any of my friends would be interested in Gojira in September.

So this show was badass as always. I just love seeing a long time favorite band in a theater/club setting. I look back living in Houston, and all 3 times AIC came through it was a festival or other large bill and was at woodlands. I hated that crap.

Been in Denver 4 years and have seen them 3 times now; this one last night, last year at an even smaller club (800 people), and once at large pavilion. These smaller shows are so much better.
It was these 4 dudes, a bit of lighting.. and that's it.. that's all they need.

Contemplating buzzing down to Louisville for Forecastle on Saturday. Headliners that day are Alabama Shakes, Shakey Graves and The Arcs. Too bad GCJ plays at 5pm Sunday.

Just got tickets to Foals at White Oak Music Hall (downstairs) on October 4, 2016. They killed the show in Austin recently. Needless to say I can't wait!
