The teaser for the trailer was supposed to drop yesterday, and that morning Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk trailer just happened to be confirmed for this week as well. So some are speculating that Paramount didn't want to compete for attention with that one, but who knows.

Nothing, unfortunately.

Not necessarily. They may just be delaying the online debut so as to not compete with the Dunkirk trailer. It could still very well debut in theaters tonight, but see an online release on Sunday/Monday. No one knows anything at this point.

Cool. Doing RPX tonight, and haven't seen a single image of either Dunkirk or Passengers. Would love to be able to watch both for the first time on a huge screen with great sound.

Means a trailer is imminent. I'd say early next week, hopefully.

No actors are worth $12 million or $20 million for a single film. If Lawrence and Pratt can actually draw an audience, they should work for scale and a % of the take. That's what Jack Nicholson did on BATMAN, and it paid off very nicely. If Sean Connery had taken a similar offer for the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy he would have banked about $400 million.

When leading actors are paid that much you can pretty well guarantee that there won't be any surprises in the script because the studio can't afford to take risks.
