The fact that whatever they're releasing is 3-minutes long - 30 seconds longer than most trailers - just makes me all the more confident that this is a behind-the-scenes featurette being mistakenly referred to as a "trailer." They're not going to release a 3-minute trailer five months before the movie comes out. That almost never happens. Don't get me wrong, I fully expect whatever it is to have a bit of new footage, but it won't be your typical trailer that plays in theaters. It will likely be the Rogue One equivalent of this:

I couldn't finish the written version due to the terrible writing style, but the audiobook for Aftermath was fantastic. Basically an old school radio drama with music and sound effects.

Btw, with confirmation that the Doctor Strange trailer is debuting next week on Kimmel (and thus will be in theaters with Disney's The Jungle Book next Friday), I'd say that basically solidifies the Rogue One trailer debuting with Civil War in a month. I was a little worried that Disney would instead debut the Doctor Strange trailer with Civil War, and push the Rogue One trailer to mid-summer (with something like The BFG), but it's pretty much set in stone now that in exactly one month, we'll be watching a Rogue One trailer in theaters.

All I've been told is new footage July 15th, featuring lot more of Grand Admiral Nothrawn. Whether it's Trailer 2 or Trailer 1 if you think the first is...I should find out.

Nobody (on the outside, at least) really knows the truth behind the reshoots, so we'll wait and see. There can still be some humor in the movie while delivering a grim movie from an overall perspective.

I read the first Aftermath, didn't particularly care for it either. There were several tangent chapters that had little to absolutely nothing to do with the primary plot of the book. My assumption was that this was to set up additional novels or tie in characters and back story to the Star Wars anthologies??

Well, they weren't chapters. They were interludes. Most of them were just flavor, but others may play out down the road.

I assume Life Debt has the same.

I was curious as to when the two big SW Celebration panels were going to be for us in the states, so, if my math is correct, here's what we're looking at...

I'm only 4 chapters (plus a prologue, plus at least one Interlude) into Life Debt: am I willfully lying to myself, or did Wendig ditch the annoying style everyone complained about so much? At the very least he dialed it back.
