anyone check out the ozzie porn clips? (i never seem to think about this thread outside of work hrs.)

I think lots of us talked about the reward challenge things last season too.

I was amused when Ozzy said 'when did i ever berate you or make you feel small'... 'well, during and after every challenge where you said i was the weakest and tried to vote me out' .... 'oh'


its funny to me that these guys don't see why cochran wouldn't just automatically do what is best for them... after they showed him time and time again that they didn't want him... for them to talk about how many times they saved him... well great, you saved him b/c you thought it furthered you in the game...

I have never seen any one more verbally abused than Cochran.

I was hoping Cochran would make that argument. Every time, they "saved" him, they did it because it made more sense for their games than out of some obligation or allegiance to Cochran.

cochran is an idiot. it has nothing to do with them not wanting them. he chose a terrible time to flip. He should have held out for a while and then rescued a group with his vote at a key time to give him numbers.

He was on some weird Playboy Channel show called Foursome that basically pays former reality stars to do porn. I think the story was that he hooked up with some chick from Flava of Love or something like that.

that little weasel should have been voted out on day 1. he has done nothing in this game other than flip his vote...he is the most worthless player in the history of survivor and it boils my blood to see him get this far.

jim's move to vote what was her name (ozzie's squeeze) is showing to be the stupidest move this season...should have gotten rid of cochran and you would have gone to the rocks...instead you kept the little moron and now you're done

No one can afford to act like an ass to any tribe member repeatedly before the merge because it can definitely hurt you. Jim, Ozzy, Keith and Whitney have all treated Cochran like dog crap all season, with Jim the worst of the lot. Screw 'em. They were all stupid for assuming that they could count on his vote.

Survivor is more than just winning challenges.

Outwit, Outplay, Outlast

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

There is something about some people that loathe the physically weaker.

Cochran may not outphysical Keith, Jim and Ozzie, but he's going further in the game.

There is hell of a lot more to this game than winning challenges. Cochran won't win the game, but he outwitted and outlasted his former tribe.

I do like how Hantz went over to protect Cochran, like Ozzy was going to beat his ass like in a prison or something. Seriously, can you how a felon and get on survivor?

yep. the physical challenges are always an illusion that throws people off. it can matter, and it's certainly impressive when physical players can will themselves or their teams to lots of wins. but outside of that, it's not really worth a lot. politicking and building alliances are much more important to winning the game.

this is why this game always kills me

because im a physical person and way too competitive and i always look down on pathetic weaklings like cochran

and that is exactly what ozzy and jim did... and you can't expect someone you treat like a "pathetic weakling" to just follow your orders

That is survivor karma... they treated him like crap while they had numbers over him, and then acted shocked when he wasn't willing to put his life on the line for them

I guess I don't understand why you'd be a fan of the show then. It's never been about the physical challenges. If it were, there'd just be some competition at the end where, whoever was first wins. The focus of the game has always been about survival of the game, not who has the biggest muscles. in the end, everyone has an equal chance to win the game...they each have one vote. if they can combine their votes with enough people, then they can get further (or avoid others targeting them).

Cochran is a physical weakling, but that's not the only part of the game. If they didn't like him, they should have voted him out when they could have. A guy who professes to be a big fan of the show is not someone I want around, because he'll most likely be a wild card. it's their own fault for keeping him around, when they could have kept one of their other dead weight people. maybe they could have just been nicer to him and realized that at some point, they're going to need him to stay strong.

but bullies never realize that.

I think Jim made a good point that cochran is playing an excellent 3rd place game... I have to agree with that, that he most likely won't get jury votes... but I'd rather be kept around until the vote rather than being one of the bitter jury members

Here's my problem with Cochran- it's like he's intentionally playing a third place game, and not just to lock in $100K like a lot of people, but just because he wants that ultimate Survivor experience. He wants to face that jury and get a speech about how he's a rat and so my vote is going for the snake, just because it's better than the rat. Not that he was ever going to win, but I hate people that aren't playing this game to win. It's about the title, and the $1M, and it doesn't really seem like he even cares about that. He just wants to make it to the end to complete his experience. And that's stupid.

Other than Tom (the fireman), Ethan, and to some extent Boston Rob, who are the other "physical powers" that have ever won the game?

Sandra never won any challenges to speak of...Colby was a power, but ended up 2nd... Parvati was meh at challenges...

At some point in the first week or so there, Cochran had to realize he had a very low chance at 1st place the way the tribe was configured. He had no close allies and he was no where near power. No one really seemed to respect him. At that point, his best bet would be to shoot for a 2nd/3rd place game.

I feel like Yul won some physical challenges, but it's been so long I can't remember. Also, JT and Fabio.

Although it was an abysmal season, I always liked the game that the car salesman/cinemax actor played - listening to everyone else, and letting them all think they were the ones doing the decision making when it was really him making them think what he wanted them to.

Might be mistaken, but I don't even think he ever had a single vote cast for him at any TC.

Exactly. Cochran knew he had no chance in winning it and is doing what he can to go as long as he can. Can't blame him for that.

I've always felt like yul played just about a perfect game, in terms of winning respectably, making big moves and just outwitting people while still being likable.

Rob last season was also really impressive. Id put Brian Heidik from season 4 right near the top as well.
