They think she may hate her old tribe, but they don't know that for sure.

But you HAVE to take that gamble above sending yourself to RI. Especially when you have a HII!!!!!

I realize that if this works out....he's a hero/genius/gambler, etc. But if it fails, he goes on the list of stupid players of all time...right alongside the guy that gave his immunity away at tribal. I put it as dumber than Jt giving Russell his idol because at least Russell was playing JT on purpose, JT didn't know Russell's game, JT's back was against the wall in their tribe going into the merge, etc. This is just Ozzy being Ozzy..which equals dumb about half the time.

All Ozzy has to do, with a HII, and his ability to win challenges, is get to the merge. From there, he's going to win some individuals...he has a good-decent alliance with several in his group (it's not like he's on the outside)...and he HAS THE IDOL!!!! He's not bullet proof, but he's as much of a lock to go REALLY deep after the merge as anyone is.

This is an unnecessary gamble on his part.

I had a hard time believing that God was on Coach's tribe until Ozzy decided to vote himself out.

He clearly joined their team when they decided to kick that sinner ***** Playboy model Mikayla out.

but one more 'could turn out to be genius' aspect of this move was the way they are spinning the story... that cochran had the HII and played it... so now... coach's team will think 1. that cochran is a wildcard and 2. that ozzy's crew doesn't have an HII which they otherwise would probably assume they have.

So... if ozzy does make it back... and they do stick to this story and sell it... and cochran can make coach think his vote is available and that they don't have a HII... then ozzy's crew can make a big first vote and grab the post merge numbers in their favor

Also...if this does work out... and ozzy does stick around to the end... that is an extremely ballsy move that the jury possible could reward

Is it worth all this risk? maybe, maybe not... but there is a significant upside if everything falls into place

I'd love it if they did that.

The only saving grace I see to the move is this. Most of you are saying Ozzy could make a deep run without doing this, and he probably can, but can he win? After Rob winning last season you would think that at some point after the merge Ozzy and Coach are the two biggest targets. And even if not will he have votes at the end of the day.

If this works out as planned, and it's a HUGE if, this should help Ozzy not only make it to the end of the game, but give him a leg to stand on for why he should win the final vote. Most peoples goal is to stay in the game as long as possible. I think Ozzy is playing for the win, knowing that it may cause him to go home a few days/weeks earlier but it may give him the best odds for the $1M.

It also increases the target on his back the second he gets back. If somebody has already made a "game winning" move when there are 10 people left, that person CANNOT make it to the end as far as everyone is concerned. If he doesn't do this, he's A target. By doing it, he's got a 50% chance of coming back, and then he's THE target the second he is remotely expendable.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Sort of. I mean he will always be a big target cause he's the star player. But he's also setting it up as, he had the idol played against him and Cochran was the mastermind, etc. He's doing what he can to set himself up as the sympathetic figure. Considering where he was an episode ago comepltly on the outs after his "free agent" speech. It's a decent idea to work his way back into the game.

Again I don't think it will work, as to many things will have to break exactly his way, but I don't think just because it may not work that it's the worst idea ever.

It could work out and he look like a visionary genius, but I still think that voting himself out and having to win a challenge to stay in the game is too risky given the position he was in.

His alliance has already surprised him by voting off Elise so I agree that if he does make it back he will be a huge target.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
It's a huge risk and one I doubt will work out for him. He's banking on the tribes merging and his ability to beat someone that has won 5 RI challenges in a row.

Religion has played a part on the show from the very first season, and has been a major storyline for the past two installments. I have to ask you because we’ve seen it asserted by contestants time and again on this show: Do you think God really cares who wins an immunity challenge and gets to go see a cross-dressing Adam Sandler comedy?

Probst: Well I’m a bit like Steve Jobs. I’m 50-50 on the God thing. If there is a God, then I’m guessing that from time to time s/he does check out Survivor and based on who is asking for the “favor,” probably does care about the outcome. If it’s Coach and Coach is being sincere, I think God would probably lend him a bit of a hand. I think God appreciates the journey/struggle Coach is on in this lifetime and he probably wants to throw him an encouraging bone. The key with all of this is to remember that simply because God helped one tribe doesn’t mean he doesn’t like the other, just not as much.

the whole "lying" during his prayer to find the idol that he already had to keep brandon appeased is really disgusting...

it seems to really undermine coach's "honor" code that he is playing by

I can understand praying before, during and after the challenge (although... whatever) but "fake" praying to find something you already have...
Doug Christie
How long do you want to ignore this user?
maybe there's another one. maybe it would be a miracle.

if jesus could turn water into wine, then certainly god could create a second hidden immunity idol.

(for the record, I've heard God's a big game theory fan and loves the show).

Would Jeff verify the legitness of a God created 2nd immunity idol when presented at tribal council? Maybe if he was a little less Steve Jobs and a little more 75-25 on "the whole God thing"...

If you look at the move from Ozzie's personal perspective, then I think it is a smart move for him. It will possibly hurt the team in the long run, especially if the merge does not come as soon as they think it will.

However, Ozzie is playing to win, not just get far in the game. As it stands now, I don't think he has a shot at winning the game. If he gets to the finals, who will vote for him? His tribe doesn't seem to like him that much (I don't blame them), and people may have a problem voting for someone to win who has been on the show so many times. But now that he has given himself up for the "good of the tribe," his fellow tribe members may remember this come voting time. The members of the other tribe may also respect this play once they find out about it. He's basically taking a risk now in hopes that it will pay out if he makes it to the finals. And as I said before, it isn't much of a risk in the overall picture anyways. If he doesn't make this move, he'd obviously stay in the game alot longer but I don't see how he could ever win. Now he has a legitimate shot if he makes the finals.

Of course, this is all assuming that he gets back in the game. And it would also help if Cochran actually gives him the Idol back. I honestly kinda think he will. As much as he says he's a student of the game, etc I haven't seen him do or say much to show that he would have the guts to keep the idol or develop any strategy that does not go along with what other people want.

I didn't go back to check, but I thought Brandon prayed for the idol and Coach prayed for a win.

No, the one girl even commented on how weak she thought it was that Coach was praying for an idol that he already had.

The thing that Ozzie really needs to do (other than win the challenge) is talk up how weasly Cochran is and how he played the HII to blindside Ozzie - because at the merge, the other team will go after Cochran to join their side and firmly believe that the red team's HII is out of play. Having Cochran play both sides and having an HII nobody knows about will let them blindside the blues twice - and probably get Coach out of the game with his HII in his pocket.

Ya know, I am not sure what the editors are trying to achieve by putting all that nonsense in everyone's face. Coach is obviously a conniving snake. Maybe they are trying to show that.

He is a liar that probably believes his own bull*****

I just hope that they will let the truth be shown in front of him. The last time he was on, he lied to someones face and when she called him out on it, during the reunion show, they never forced him to acknowledge. What would have been great if it was like a Harrison Ford moment trying to deny that the stupid Ewok Christmas movie never happened while they were showing it in the back ground.

Coach: "No, I never lied to you." while the clip is being shown to everyone in the audience (including the participants) the actual events.

It would be great if they are setting him up for that scene in the future where he would deny ever praying for a hidden immunity idol while they are showing that he had it all along.

I can definitely see this happening. Ozzy beats Christine. They merge. Then, Cochran acts as if he's on the outs with Ozzy's tribe. Coach's tribe sees it, listens to Cochran's (fake) story and tell Cochran who to vote for. Cochran plays the idol for that person, and they send an unexpecting member from Coach's tribe home.

Of course, Ozzy has to win first. And, then the merge must happen immediatly.

In the scenario in my last post, wouldnt it be epic if it all plays out perfectly, but then Cochran does vote with Coach's tribe and keeps Ozzy's idol. LOL>...Oh no he wouldnt.....would he?

I think that squarely puts the target on his back, and both tribes realize what kind of squirrely backstabber he is. no reason to make that move...he's got allies with his original tribe and him fooling them into voting for ozzy (or whoever) would really engender trust with his original tribe.

I agree that it'd be stupid if Cochran did that type of move. He seems to be smart enough to know that this is too early to try a big move, but he probably would love to make a famous (or infamous) move in the game of Survivor. With that said, i doubt he will go against his tribe. But, it would be funny/stupid..
