They should have had an entire episode dedicated to cast members and random people kicking E in the nuts for screwing up that deal. Who in the hell could legitimately think it was a good idea to finish filming in Colombia and then go straight to Italy for a 6-week vacation with the guys, knowing it will absolutely end your relationship with a girl that hot and that sweet? There's just no justification for it whatsoever.

I don't know dude. Sloan is crazy hot for sure. But if you were living the life those guys are, would you want to be tied down to one girl? A tough call, but the relationship might get old.

Outstanding episode tonight. Piven is an amazing actor, not just in the outlandish scenes we love him in, but the scenes like where he talked to Vinny at the airport. Really looking forward to next week.

Great ep tonite. Not sure I can get behind the "Ari is being offered the chance to run one of the biggest studios" jump though. Being an agent is a very common career starter for studios execs, but the next move is typically running their own production company or being the head of a smaller indie type studio. Jump from agent to running Warners is a reach, when the only project we have seen Ari have his hands in from a production side was the huge bomb Medellin. Glad to see Dana Gordon back in the fold though.

i'd take the job if i were ari. vinny already bailed on him once, so why the hell should he feel loyal.

i was genuinely sad when vince said the line about finish what we started...

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the fact that Eric was referred to as a "spinner" by the tall model! One of the best lines of the series IMO!

Great episode. When Natasha first mentioned Vince going with her to Hawaii and having room on their plane for the gang, I could have dictated the last five minutes. We were due for a "crossroads" event, and there it was.

From a practical standpoint, though, given where Vin's career is, I can't see Ari's taking the position being a bad thing. He can't find Vince acceptable work as it stands, and a studio that size should be able to steer him at least one film a year. Ari would be doing Vince an injustice by not taking it.

The finish what we started line is going to be the one that keeps Ari from taking the job. You could see it in his eyes. And the previews for next week make it look like he takes the job, so that just convinced me even more that he is going to turn it down. They are trying to surprise the audience.

But it was a great episode.

Agree w/ Mr. Cub. The previews made it look like he was all but sealing the deal. I predict that something will happen to make Ari change his mind right after he walks in that meeting room to fill out the paperwork.

My guess: Ari turns down the job, recommends Dana Gordon. Dana Gordon is forever indebited to Ari, therefore, Vince can do whichever movie he wants with that studio.

Good thinking on Dana Gordon. Smoke Jumpers will probably be part of the deal for him to recommend her for the job.

If Ari turns down this job to be Vince's agent, I'm out. Its a significantly better job. He gets to keep his stake in Miller Gold. There is no way Vince would even let him turn it down. From the preview its at $10M a year job. Vince would have to make $100M/yr for Ari to make that, plus he has significant overhead as an agent he wouldnt have in a studio job. We all know Ari can't have the job because it would reduce his screentime with Vince dramatically, so I can only assume it gets yanked from him for some unforseen reason. But if he turns it down to "stay with his boy Vinny", this show is offically gayer than Piven's shirts.

2. He has many more clients than just Vince. I wouldn't be surprised if he could easily make $10MM/year as an agent.

I think it gets out before it's done, him telling Vinnie, and that blows is up.

He doesn't have many many clients. He has several, and Vince is by far the biggest. If Vince is averaging $5M a year (which is very generous), he would need 20 Vinces. No way he has time for that. There is considerable overhead he must pay as well. If it wasn't about the money/power, he wouldnt even be interested. The fact that he is interested says it all.

You're kidding. He has tons of clients, just they only show the aspect of Vinnie Chase.

It's not about the money for Ari, they are set for life with his wife's money.
