Glad they wrapped everything up...I'm glad things will be back to normal next season, but a change of pace for the past 10 episodes was kind of nice.

I wonder how many of the next episodes will take place in NY filming?

My guess is the season will start with the film wrapping up. And yeah, when Scorcese was shown was a great moment.

Good finale. Would be cool if they had an episode or two in nyc. Thought the Turtle phone scene was hilarious.

I doubt they'll have many episodes of them filming in NY. They seem to end each season with Vince on his way to make another movie.

Season 1 - Making Queen's Boulevard
Season 2 - Making Aquaman
Season 3 - Medellin
Season 4 - No movie going on
Season 5 - Scorsese Movie

Most seasons are typically about what's going on between Vince's movies. They may change things up, but I doubt they will focus a lot on the actual production of the movie.

Great season finally though. Glad to see everything on the way up for the guys!

Awesome episode. I hope Jamie-Lynn is back full time next year. It's going to be a long wait until Summer. Next season better be more than 12 episodes. I had heard a while back that Michael Phelps filmed a cameo, but I forgot all about it. Gus Van Zant is a horrible actor, but it was cool when Scorsese showed up.

They made it sound like Phelps had a bigger appearance than he did, there was even talk about them wanting him to come back next season for more. I guess that's why they wanted more, they didn't really get anything out of him this time.

Tonite's episode was titled "Return to Queen's Boulevard". Glad to see they meant literally...when I saw the episode listing back in Sept, I was highly concerned the season was gonna end with Walsh and Vinny teaming up for QB2 or something.

I wonder what the odds of Siegler sticking around next season are? She has been making the rounds lately, trying to get relevant again (How I met your Mother last week). I could see her hanging out if she and Ferrara are still hooking up, its not like she has anything else going on and it could raise her profile.

The question now is, is next season the last? Six Feet Under and The WIre ended in season 5, The Sopranos and Sex and the City both ended on season 6 (Curb Your Enthusiasm will get to season 7, but Entourage had that extended "part 2" season, so it would be the same number of episodes.)

i think they are going to have to end it next season... i could see it going down like this:

Vince has an amazing performance and the final episode is his Oscar winning night...i mean think about it, they could do a lot with the red carpet and such...kinda like the Cannes episode, obviously with a better ending than that one haha

this next season is going to be great!

Not sure how many more seasons there will be, but here's a line from the Wikipedia entry:

quote:
Ellin says he has four more seasons of material in reserve, implying that Entourage will probably run through season eight.

I tried the link where the line was cited, but didn't find anything. I think HBO will want to have at least 2 other shows to take over when the pull Entourage and don't see anything in this season or the next. Just a guess on my part though.

Great finale. I was gonna be pissed if it ended with the falling out.

i totally thought they were going to end it with the falling out and next season would be like 5 years later a la one tree hill or dawsons creek

this worked tho... great episode

Great episode... For whatever reason I didn't see a big happy ending coming and I was thinking maybe next season would start out with Vince being even closer to rock-bottom with maybe a big opportunity coming then.

Everything involving the gang's families was awesome.

Re: ending the show,

I foresee them going out "on top", so an Oscar win would be a nice win to finish off the show.

It has crossed my mind that the addition of Gary Cole to Miller Gold could be part of building a foundation for a Miller Gold spinoff. We talked about such a possibility on this board a year or two ago (I think there might have been some hinting from the powers-that-be that it was possible), and that would be a built-in replacement for Entourage on the HBO schedule. By adding another agent to the mix, they could be setting up for an in-depth show about the power brokers of Hollywood and life at a talent agency, which would be preferable to just a cheap spinoff that is nothing more than Ari and Lloyd's hijinks. Don't get me wrong, I love Ari and Lloyd's hijinks, but I think a Miller Gold spinoff would need something more than just that.

I have no basis for that speculation other than what's in my own mind, it just seems like a reasonable possibility for ending Entourage on a high note and then providing a segue way into a replacement series.

I thought last night's episode could have been a good end to the series because the crew came full circle.

Vince had his progression from nothing to superstar & back down; last night he gets his shot at coming back up again.

I'm not sure where the season goes next year that it hasn't already been. HBO is pretty good (or bad depending on your point of view) at ending shows before they drag out too long.

but they referenced game 6, which the knicks lost, and they mentioned john starks, who had his shot blocked by hakeem to end the game. i'm not sure i understood the game 6 reference from a new yorker's perspective, but i agree that as a rockets fan it was pretty cool.

I thought it was hilarious when Turtle and Jamie were on the phone and Turtles mom picks up the phone.

that was the best part. I wonder if Takia Starks watches entourage? if so, pretty cool to hear your uncle get mentioned in one of your favorite t.v. shows.

Just watched last night's episode. Out-freaking-standing. Glad they wrapped up everything from the season: E has Charlie on the path to success (I really like Charlie, BTW), E and Vince have their needed blow-up but kiss and make up, and Vince's career gets back on track (for real this time).

Three best moments of the night:

3. Scorsese getting on the phone to Vince
2. Turtle's mom catching him having phone sex with Jamie-Lynn and then Turtle running to barricade the door like he's in junior high (all-around hysterical sequence,

And, for my money, the best:

1. Drama answering Jamie-Lynn's call and her nearly causing him to have a heart attack by declaring, "WE'RE F---ING!!"

really i thought the best part of the episode was when vince threw the phone against the wall

one thing i always hated about his character was that he didnt really try... he was always to "whatever"... that moment really showed an inner depth to his character

however the funniest was turtle having phone sex! I loved him locking the dooor and putting his head in his hands like "i cant believe this is happening" Ive had some similar moments

That was a great moment indeed, Legend. At that moment you saw him being "real", as he dropped the "it's all gonna be okay" facade he always keeps and thought, "maybe it really won't be okay this time." I thought he might flip out and punch a hole in the wall or do something severe, thankfully he just went for a walk and fired E.

Adrian Grenier gets slammed A LOT for being a real life Vince- pretty face, no real talent to speak of. (Why do you think we never see Vince act? And when we do, its laughably bad- see Aquaman and Medellin). But this was the first episode he actually showed a little bit of range.
PooDoo
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yeah, the blow up was great and I wouldn't have minded one bit if they ended the episode on that note.

I would like to add to Legend's point about Vince throwing the phone... it was E's phone! I cracked up when E was ducking Vince's call and it showed his phone cracked and taped together.

Is Vince/Johnny's father ever mentioned on the show? While re-watching last night's episode I found myself wondering if there was something there I wasn't remembering.

I think Vince and Drama are half brothers. They have the same mom, but different dads. And no, I dont believe they have ever said anything about their dads.

great episode...just watched it.

Glad they didn't hold on to E/Vinny fight until next season because we all know they'd re-unite.

Hoping for a few mansions, weed, and hitting golf balls at beverly hills rooftops scenes next year(Entourage's best moments happened in thos scenes). Screen going black just as the winner is announced for an oscar would be the perfect way to end next season as well.

The actually relationship is skewed because the writers messed up. Originally, different moms and same dad. Then, they wrote one where the moms are the dates, and they had the same mom.
