Snow Monkey nailed it.
I think it was an interesting social commentary. We've gotten to a point in our society where there's little or no downside to rude, poor behavior. Both social and physical annonimity has fostered irresponsible conduct to the point that not only is it protected, it's almost encouraged. Good manners and "doing the right thing" used to be a positive bi-product of the fear of getting your ass kicked if you stepped out of line. Not so today. (reference internet tough-guys)
Mr. Davies enjoyed protection at every turn: ensconced in his own car, then by his phone in ordering the strippers, then by his computer in posting the pic of Ms. Gold, and finally by what he thought were the friendly confines of his office. Ari peeled those layers away and when he got to the true Davies core, there was nothing but a p.
Actually, I think the writers, knowing the show is in its probable twilight, are really working on rounding out the characters for their culmination. We've seen it in Vince, particlularly in the last two episodes. This was part of Ari's...we saw he wasn't all talk; when it came to something that really mattered to him, he walked the walk.
