Because it's a nice way to wake up and start the day. The truck is to take a shower at night and then again in the nothing.

I do, in general, but I was specifically thinking about my interactions with my boss. I interact so freely and comfortably with everyone else in my work life, but my brain short circuits if it's my boss or someone up the line that they report to.
Ironically, I adore my boss and he is very kind and supportive. He let me have #3 at work for 2 days because I didn't have a babysitter. Some people don't do well with authority. That's normal. But they are just people. At the end of the day that's all they are.

Why not both? Shower at night to get grime off in order to sleep better, then again in the morning after workout/to wake up?
Shower whenever you want to but be aware that Austin, and presumably many other cities, have a sliding scale on their charge for water use where the RATE goes up the more water you use.

Why do we celebrate ourselves on our birthdays? Would it be better if we celebrated the person who gave birth to us, instead? They're the one who did all of the work to grow us and push us out into the world.
Maybe it's an AND instead of an or and we celebrate both.

1) Mother's Day. We literally already have a day for that.
2) a birthday is for celebrating all that you have seen, done, and how you have grown in the last year. It's not for celebrating your expulsion from a birth canal.
3) mothers put in 10 months of that "growing " and a few hours of that "pushing you out into the world" that you mentioned. Every other successfully reproducing animal on the face of the planet does this. A woman's body has literally built itself to be able to do this over the course of billions of years of evolution. Being able to give birth is the bare minimum level of biological accomplishment for a woman. You can find it on the list right after learning to breathe, eating, and not dieing before puberty.
It's not really that special to do something your body was built to do in the first place. And nowadays yall get to do it with feel good drugs.
