Got it in 3 today.
Well, I did hit a 1 in 5 chance for a 2 tonight, so I'm still on track to hit e^1. Only 60 more 2's in a row.
I think the theoretical minimum is somewhere in the 2.8 range with the right programming with adjustments to avoid the hard mode traps, so even starting from scratch probably wouldn't get me there.
My current command-line tool strategy is likely at about a 2.95-3.0 average, so a realistic goal by July 4th is probably in the 3.05-3.09 range.
