If he kept his Monday opening, he had a 1 in 3 shot at a 2 and each of those guesses would narrow it down for a 3 at the worst.

I was lucky to squeak out a commutative 3 tonight with a 3 in 9 chance.

Yesterday was a disaster.

I was in a rush and didn't notice that the 4 remaining possibilities had no overlap, so I'm sitting at 3 guesses in with 3 choices remaining.

Should I burn a guess and get a sure 5? No, let's go for it to hit that 4. Nope.

Surely I'll hit 5. Nope.

I guess there was a 1 in 4 chance that I ended up at 6 and that's what I got.

Next time, I need to slow down and burn a guess at 3 to get the sure 4.

Got a 2 tonight to make up for one of those bad guesses.

That was basically the story of my lone miss. I haven't even had a 6, but I did miss once. It haunts my dreams, makes my children think less of me, and my wife and girlfriend less satisfied.
