This A&M team had no argument for being in the NCAA tournament.
Agreed! None whatsoever! Very disappointing season!
Are we expecting there to be a coaching change announced soon?
100% should have.Wicked Good Ag said:
Aggies should have played in the NIVT invite tourney...let the non seniors play and get a head start on looking at your roster for next season before looking at portal and freshman
as for next year, a near complete rebulid will be necessary
lose both middles, all the major DS players who played, setter...pins come back but they are very streaky
Best case scenario is Talbert were to come back and stabilize a middle position, maybe run a 6-2 system next season and get the incoming lefty some playing time
Notre Dame lists her as a junior. Will she just be a one year player at A&M or would covid rules make the plan for her to be around longer?russaggie said:
Picked up a transfer OH from Notre Dame. Caroline Meuth originally from San Antonio will be joining the team for next year.

Fascinating. TheQuietPart joined TexAgs TODAY just to post a rant against a coach, for the obvious purpose of trying to undermine the coach and the program. For some reason, I'd bet TheQuietPart is related to a player who's transferring/transferred out....

Bird and staff survived the most critical days for VB firings Alabama let their coach go yesterday "or a mutual parting of the ways"
I would expect honestly that she gets her final year of contract like Childress and Evans.
I just think unless something clicks with the next season we will be not as strong as this season which is 14-14 record
I don't know if all the above FACTS are correct but I do know that the mass exodus of players she recruited have left the program at an alarming rate
I will be very interested to see next seasons schedule. How hard it is vs what we need as a program. Last season preseason wasn't a bad schedule if we could have gotten one more quality opponent in and won a could of games that we shouldn't have lost we likely make the tourney.
We lost a lot of DS players (mostly seniors, and at least one transferring) for the coming year which could lead to a shrinking of the lineup
Not so sure that we can be better than we were this year unless a major step up with this freshman class
And if the freshman class does come in a play significantly we will be still running a new setter into the mix without much college court time unless a transfer.
Well, experience and common sense indicates that it's much more likely that alleged "facts" are exaggerated when the "fact"-teller is motivated to make his/her preferred person look like a mistreated victim.Gap said:Giggem said:

Would that make it more likely to be truthful or untruthful?
Would it change the trajectory or the path the program is on?
What am I supposed to believe with where this program is headed and how we are where we are supposed to be now being part of that path?

So there is one player you do not want on your dodge ball team
I hate this. When you know it's not working, just get it over with and move on.Wicked Good Ag said:

Chapa96 hasn't checked back in since the season ended, but blue star for calling the record on the first post in the thread.Chapa96 said:
Lost 1st set to Marquette 25-12.

Gonna be one of those years. .500?
Your assumptions and suppositions are no more valid than those of the casual observer. Moreover, the Vball topic has been atop this board for days, and the post in question is sufficiently volatile to have been read or quoted/forwarded to a much larger audience than you opine.Harry Dunne said:
There's no doubt that if this was about a "major" sport it would have been deleted minutes after it was posted, and the alleged incident(s) would be a major news story…or it would have been found to be false. The problem here is that this isn't like a few years ago when someone on the football forum "broke" that the OU QB was getting a free truck at Norman big red car dealership. This post has probably been read by no more than 20 people, and that might be the sum of folks who give a rip about Aggie volleyball.
The whole dodgeball to the face is what makes me think that these are highly exaggerated. That's abuse. There's no way something like that would happen without an administrator finding out, and that coach would be fired immediately and would likely never coach again. There might even be criminal charges.

Moreover, athletes in a "minor" sport have the same rights to being treated fairly and not being physically abused as do those playing "major" sports.
I proposed that the effort be made to gather the relevant information necessary to refute or to confirm the allegations. The serious implications regarding the reputations of the coaching staff and recruiting should be addressed. If the Athletic Department management is disinterested, shame on them. JMO
