Not much of a fight. I realize you are playing the defending National Champs, but that was not a good performance.
What seems to be the issue? Defense and passing? Lack of a 6 rotation pin hitter than can terminate from every spot on the court? Is it mental? Is there no leadership, no team dynamic? Or maybe all of the above?
Either way, the bird has had enough time to be successful. Not impressed.

I didn't watch either match and I may rewatch one of them but the scores even against a top 10 team are abysmal for a team looking to break in go to the Top 25 status which is what we were consistently.
BuT those scores indicate a team in disarray
Arkansas is a loss on paper right now. LSU is in just as much disarray as us and Missouri in whole new level of bad.
We need to go undefeated rest of way to have a shot at postseason. And quite frankly don't deserve even if we do.

I've been optimistic all season, but don't think I can much longer... I hate seeing us look unprepared, unmotivated, and incapable of winning or competing in conference matches! This is not a good look for our program or school!

I think they have lost at least their last 10 games. Yikes. I've never seen a team regress so much during a season. The Corbelli's program was very close to Kentucky and Florida. Now we are at the bottom of the S E C.
Can we get Corbelli back?
An unproven assistant has proven to be a failure as a head coach. She had her opportunity and now it's time to move on.
I hope this isn't the case of "let her contract run out" just fire her and move on...geez.
Let's look back. From the 1st match against UT, 13 matches, we are 3-10. Those 3 wins were 5 set wins. Could have easily been loses. Regressing!!!!!! Horrible.

There is definitely something toxic within that team! Reminds me of longhorn football. I don't see how she can stay, unless they give her the option of hiring a whole new staff. Unfortunately she doesn't have a record of success as a HC to give her that kind of leeway! She may be just a good assistant that is not head coach material.
Women's golf seems to have recovered nicely from the hole that Andrea Gaston had dug. And Jo Evans should finally be out after this year.

I give up...it isnt worth it anymore this season. I just hope they win the last match of the year for the seniors
If this staff stays it will be interesting to see which non-seniors don't come back next year. There's a clear divide between the players. There's no team element left. Sad to see how far this team has fallen in such a short time. Would be interested to hear what's going on behind the scenes and in the locker room.

Divide or not, this team is just not very talented. It's as simple as that.
They will finish exactly where they should in the conference standings, given that lack of talent.

Corbelli was making in neighborhood of 150k a yr after 25 yrs. bird close to 500k new hire 4 yrs ago. Forget win loss record that's unbelievable for an unproven assistant. What a slap in the face to corbellis. Can't imagine what Woodward was thinking.
Woodward's Women's Golf coach hire didn't pan out either.
If this team was 90% freshmen like Missouri, then I'd be happy with this record. But, this team is more like Miss State, Arkansas, and most others in the conference with a good mix of players.
It's baffling... I just don't think the "team" element is there, maybe it's a lack of leadership on the court? Hard to believe that with a senior at setter.
Bottom line is, this coach has had enough time. I don't even know if it's on Bjork's radar, since he is worried about keeping Jimbo and building better football and track facilities. (also because it's an olympic, non revenue generating sport)
