Fight all the way back from an 0-2 start, be up 10-9 in the fifth and finish 2-6 to end the game and lose the match at home is unconscionable. There is no need to have this staff here for another year!

The fact that we lost the first two against auburn is bad enough! What is it with this team? poorly coached, uninspired, just lazy? Is half the team about ready to hit the portal?

So many things. Camielle setting consistency. Forcing sets to the middles. Choosing to set Lauren Davis over Mallory talbert when in system.

Bad passing. Cici was axed three consecutive points in the first match. Macy can dig balls but damn. When it comes to serve receive, don't bet on her.

Lack of communication between all players. Morgan looks like she has some ego to live up to. I honestly don't even understand how she is starting. Her out of systems swings are so bad, she wouldn't even be swinging for a 1a high school. She consistently makes bad decisions.

Lauren Davis has been just as bad of late. She can't keep a ball in the court.

Long story short, I think it's everything. If it's everything, it means it's solely on the coaching staff. The talent is there

I think some of the statements above are a bit harsh about specific players but the underlining theme is correct

Production from the OH was well below standards needed for a top 25 team which we were under the previous staff

Rush had a nice game and I thought Conner could have set her even more

Passing wasnt good and the scrambling by Conner made us predictable and some of the sets werent in a good position to attack from OH position but that is also on the OH to see theset a bit better and realize that based upon pass it wont be in the best position

Conner and Browser just dont have the connection in terms of tempo height etc in a math but that is also because Browser hasnt had a lot of game action until recently

Passing wasnt good IMO but the roll shot defense we had fro both matches was not as good as some HS teams because they see rolls shots more but many of those should have been easy plays IMO

I get it, it is harsh. But we lost to an Auburn team who lost to Alabama State. There are so many simple things high school teams could pick up that we can't. I have watched and personally known many of the players within the program for 10+ years. It's just hard to watch. Seeing the potential vs. Texas and seeing where we are now is heart breaking.

Morgan is the best 1a player in system. I am sure there are far more superior options that can swing out of system

All i am saying is you can be critical and even call out specific situations and performances but no need to denegrate and that is what that statement was intended to do.

Do i think we have an inability to hit OOS effectively not necessarily just score? Yes

Do i think our players are better than some other teams lineups we have played and lost against ? Yes

Do i think just an average performance will have won at least 4 matches we have lost ? Yes

BUT it isnt just one player and it isnt just one match... our outsides hit negative as a collective group and we lost in five

44 swings by a middle is virually unheard of but that is what Mallory had

Rush did well and should have gotten more swings but Conner doesnt set RS OOS very much at all by setting over her shoulder and we didnt pass well enough to be in system

We dont back row attack unless only real option available because for most part we use DS for every back row position

Until we add a collegiate player like Hans to a lineup we will be predictable in given situations and i dont know if the staff can recruit and RETAIN a 6 rotation OH who does well out of system

I am not asking for the staff to be fired but I am disappointed that known for recruiting we havent done much to change the roster from what Corbellis either had and or recruited. By year four we should have had pretty much all Bird recruits on the floor. From a front row perspective that is Rush and Criston who sadly at .100 had the best statistical performance of all the outsides

I understand, not trying to be a rude. We have all seen the potential all these players possess! Each one of them has been special at some point in their careers. I have watched every single A&M game for the last 10+ years, even when you had to subscribe to the aggie athletics website. I can name you every single aggie and their position/contributions for over a decade.

I think I'm critical only because we know the potential of their greatness. It's hard to see the program in its current state. I'll be a little less abrasive when discussing frustrations. It's more tough love rather than a hate situation.

I'm certainly no volleyball expert but it does seem like the program has been in decline for years and, despite one good season in Bird's second year, it's been all downhill. If recruiting isn't going well either, then it's going to be interesting to see what Bjork will do after the season. My guess is that Bird will get one more year, but certainly she has been a disappointing hire by Woodward. The program has not improved at all since Corbelli left. Would be interesting to see how many elite level coaches would be interested in the job.

Corbellis had one bad year. And one surprised loss in NCAA
They lost in first round which was major surprise and then followed that with hardest strength of schedule in country and losing one all American to retirement early followed by another HM All American who barely made it through game days.
The problem was we weren't moving upward and stagnant really at second round loss. Now part of that is we get paired with Texas most of the time and then had national power Hawaii come in the one year we host after being SEC champs. Tough second round match there with their HOF coach.


So I understand the move although I think it was premature and unexpected after all they have to the community, University and volleyball program.

Bird took nearly a Corbelli roster and added a great Libero and Rush cut her teeth on RS but we didn't use her much that year and made Sweet 16 and played well against Wisconsin. But since then it hasn't been what we expected and I don't know how they are solving it anytime soon. Retainment has been a huge issue.
The girls make a solid roster but we are roller coaster individually in terms of performance and that has made us lose at least 4 matches alone over teams we should have beat and two others that shouldn't have been close ….make that three matches.

Here is latest projections of getting an at large bid...now that also means that some teams on the fringe top 100 need to get and stay in top 100

So we have to win 4 more matches for a shot at getting in ...2 against Kentucky at Kentucky and 2 against Missouri should result in needing wins against Arkansas and LSU

We signed 5, it will be a potential top 15 class. They just haven't announced it yet.

Not sure if there is anyone else, hope there are some high level transfers or some top flight international player. I think we could sign a transfer setter with experience.
